M. Joann (Grewell) Huber, age 84, of Monroe, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on January 19, 1932 in Fort Dodge Iowa, the daughter of Valentine and Anna (Fritz) Grewell.
Joann and Fredrick Huber were married on September 26, 1953 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Joann worked as a Laboratory Technician in various hospitals for 30 years.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victors Catholic Church, and was a volunteer with Monroe Clinic Hospice.
Reluctantly she leaves behind seven adult children and their spouses: Margaret (Dan Pickett) Huber of Monroe; M. Cathy (Peter Steil) Huber-Steil of Fitchburg; Michael (Joann) Huber of Mt. Prospect, IL; John (Christie) Huber of Woodland Park, CO; Carol (Robert) Driver of Monroe; Susan (Mark) Provenzano of Monona; Karen (Richard) Farris of Eden Prairie, MN. She also leaves behind 28 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Michael Allen.
Memorial services will be held at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Mick Moon celebrant.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Those who knew Joann and family need no life story. Just this - Please remember that she was a happy woman, who, forever, will love and watch over her family and friends.
