Lucile Watt, 94, passed away on Sat. July 11th with family and friends surrounding her. Funeral services will be held on Wed. July 15th in Torrington, Wy.
Lucile was born on Dec. 20, 1920 along with her twin brother Leroy to Edwin and Agnes Grapes on a Wy. homestead. She grew up and attended schools in the Prairie Center area. She got her degree from the University of Wy. and taught in several schools. She took off time to raise 2 children then went back to teaching elementary math in Torrington. Her career lasted almost 30 years w/retiring in 1981. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Art Watt whom she married on June 5, 1945 after he was discharged from the Army.
Survivors include her daughter Janet (Gary) Hartwig, Monroe, WI and her son Merle (Kathy) Watt of Cheyenne, Wy.; 4 grandchildren including twins Brett (Jeanne) Hartwig, Monroe, and Brad Hartwig, Madison, WI; 5 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren which include twins Courtney and Alyssa Hartwig, Monroe; 17 step-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Art Watt, twin brother Leroy Grapes and brothers Robert and Wendell Grapes.
