Louise B. Steiner age 76 of Monroe, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at U.W. Hospital in Madison following a long illness. Louise was born April 11, 1938 in Green County, the daughter of Lawrence and Helena (Boegeli) Buol. She married Walter F. Steiner on January 10, 1959 in New Glarus. Louise and Walt farmed for several years on County Highway FF, north of Monroe. She was a faithful member of the Monroe Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Louise loved the outdoors, gardening, traveling, cooking, computer games and puzzles, and was devoted to all her Christian activities.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Steiner of Monroe; five children, Morris (Cindy) Steiner of Stoughton, Laurie Steiner of Verona, Sam (Kris) Steiner of Statesboro, GA, Kathy (Mark) Eisenberg of Middleton, and Becky (Tony) Balogun of Evansville; five grandchildren, Zach (Andrea), Wes, Brittany, and Ethan Steiner, Heather (Anthony) Tuten; and a brother, LeRoy (Cathy) Buol of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Oby Steiner; six brothers and one sister.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, N3073 Highway 59, Monroe, with James Posey officiating. Visitation will be at the Kingdom Hall on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Following the service, friends are invited to the Monroe Arts Center, 1315 11th Street, for a light meal. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
