Louis A. Field age 87 of Midway, Arkansas, formerly of Monroe, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born September 11, 1924 in Monroe, WI to William and Edith (Cole) Field.

Louis married Gertrude Kuster January 29, 1949 in Monroe, WI and they dairy farmed in the Monroe area until 1978, retiring in northern Arkansas.

Mr. Field is survived by his wife, Gertrude Field of Midway, AR; five sons, Louis E. (Bonnie) Field of Juda, WI, Kenneth Field & Robert J. Field both of Monroe, WI, Thomas (Angela) Field of Mountain Home, AR, and Darrell (Donna) Field of Warrenville, IL; daughter, Monica (Alan) Davis of Stoughton, WI; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and a brother.

A visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until Noon Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe, WI. A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Gratiot Methodist Cemetery.
