Lois E. Melland, 71, of Summerfield, Fla., passed away Monday, April 19, 2010. Lois was born July 30, 1938 in Lena, Ill., the daughter of Raymond and Mildred (Boeck) Holland. She was a graduate of Argyle High School. She married Walter Melland on June 4, 1960 at the East Wiota Church. They later moved to Florida.

Survivors include: her daughter, Valerie Melland, Live Oak, Fla.; son, Kenneth (Holly) Melland, Live Oak, Fla., along with 3 granddaughters, Kelly, Kerry Jo and Katey.

Funeral services were held April 23, 2010 in Florida.
