Lafayette County Sheriff
On June 29:
♦ Kevin R. Brinker, 51, Chicago, reported hitting a deer at 9:55 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. His 2014 Audi was moderately damaged and towed. Gratiot First Response, the Gratiot Fire Department and Paramount Ambulance Service assisted on scene.
♦ Andrew M. Fry, 28, Apple River, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 10:04 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. His 2015 Chevrolet was moderately damaged and towed. Shullsburg EMS, the Shullsburg Fire Department and Shullsburg Police Department assisted on scene. Minor injuries were reported.
On June 30:
♦ Benjamin K. Holland, 18, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 11:33 a.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs. His 2010 Honda sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
On July 1:
♦ Courtney G. Wallin, 21, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer at 1:39 a.m. on County G, Town of Calamine. Her 2012 Chevrolet sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — On June 29:
♦ Deputies responded at 8:18 a.m. to the W6100 block of County C just west of County N in the Town of Washington for a motor vehicle accident that had occurred overnight. The abandoned vehicle was still on scene. Deputies made contact with the owner of the vehicle and, during the course of the investigation, learned who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. The investigation continues as deputies wait to speak with the driver. The vehicle was impounded.
♦ Daniel A. Salay, 24, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident at 11:22 p.m. in the N600 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of Clarno. He said he swerved to miss a deer while traveling northbound and entered the east ditch, then struck a culvert. He was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control, driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. The vehicle was towed.
