Green County Sheriff
On September 20:
● At approximately 8:27 a.m., Deputies responded to the W5600 block of County Highway P, Town of Clarno, for a report of a motor vehicle crahs that occurred the previous day. Investigation revealed the operator, Jolene S. Niedermeier, 40 of Lena, IL, was traveling west when she failed to negotiate a curve and exited the roadway. The vehicle entered the north ditch and collided with several small trees and brush. The vehicle sustained functional damage with no airbag deployment. Jolene was wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Jolene was cited for Failure to Maintain, Expired Registration and Failure to Report an Accident to Law Enforcement. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
● At approximately 11:47 p.m., Deputies responded to the Cadiz Springs Park, N2241 Cadiz Springs Rd., Town of Cadiz, for a welfare check on a vehicle in the park after hours. Upon arrival, the vehicle fled from Deputies and a pursuit entailed. The pursuit was terminated at the Monroe City Limits. The Monroe Police Department then located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The operator, Nicole J. Bleiler, 40 of Monroe, was arrested for Fleeing and Officer and 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. Nicole was housed at the Green County Jail pending her initial court appearance.
● At 8:05 a.m., Deputies responded to the W1700 block of County Highway EE, in the Town of Albany for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Norissa W. Johnson,18 of Beloit was traveling westbound when she left the roadway and collided with a ditch. Johnson reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● At 3:25 p.m., Deputies responded to the W5100 block of County Highway W, in the Town of New Glarus for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Jennifer R. Huebner, 33 of New Glarus was traveling westbound. Huebner reported entering the gravel shoulder of the roadway and losing control. The vehicle left the roadway and entered a cornfield before coming to rest. Huebner and her passenger reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● At 11:41 a.m., Deputies responded to the W800 block of State Highway 92, in the Town of Brooklyn for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Garrett D.A. Wyss, 32 of Brooklyn was traveling westbound when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a utility pole. Wyss reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. Investigation resulted in Wyss being cited for Inattentive Driving. Wyss was released pending court.
On September 28:
● At 10:16 p.m., Deputies responded to the W6800 block of State Highway 39, in the Town of New Glarus for the report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Scott M. Mauch, 19 of Evansville was traveling eastbound, when Mauch lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then entered the north ditch and collided with an embankment and a power pole. Mauch reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags had deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Investigation resulted with Mauch being cited for Failure to Control Vehicle. Mauch was released pending court.
● At 1:26 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle registration violation in the 110 1st Center Ave. in the city of Brodhead. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Michael A Kane, 50, South Beloit, Illinois, for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kane was cited for expired registration. He was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
Monroe Police
On September 23:
● At 8:55 p.m., officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 2100 block of 15th Street. An investigation led to the arrest of Dennis E. Beutel, 53, Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct and bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from prior cases prohibiting alcohol consumption. Beutel was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
Monticello Police
On September 15:
● At approximately 9:05 a.m., Officers received a report of a motor vehicle crash, property damage only, in the alley of the 200 block of N. Main Street. It was reported that on the prior day a commercial motor vehicle had struck a TDS box. The caller was instructed on how to complete a motor vehicle crash self-report form. There were no injuries reported. It was found delivery trucks can’t make the turn with a vehicle parked at the T-intersection coming out of the alley at E. Highland Avenue. No parking signs are being recommended to the Public Safety Committee.
On September 20:
● At approximately 8:14 a.m., Officers issued three citations for burn-outs at three different locations. Dustin A. Trumpy, 29, of Monticello was cited for Disorderly Conduct with a Motor Vehicle in the 200 block of N. Main Street, the 100 block of W. Highland Drive, and the 100 block of Staedtler Ave. There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
Lafayette County Sheriff
On September 21:
● 7:58 p.m. Carleen R. McKee, 53, Warren reported striking a deer on CTH W, White Oak Springs Township. McKee’s 2018 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 10:32 p.m. Jarvie WS. Nafzger, 17, Mineral Point was traveling on CTH K, Darlington Township when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a guard rail, left the roadway and came to a stop near a creek. Nafzger reported no injuries. Nafzger’s 2002 GMC received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Deputies assisted on scene.
On September 23:
● 8:20 p.m. Jon S Simmons, 61, Argyle was arrested on a valid Lafayette County warrant. Simmons was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
On September 24:
● 8:06 p.m. Donald M Thompson, 45, Argyle reported striking a deer on STH 81, Town of Argyle. Thompson’s 1997 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On September 25:
● 5:27 p.m. Lisa M. Gordon, 57, Darlington was travelling on Ames RD, Darlington Township when she swerved to miss a deer, left the roadway and struck a mailbox. Gordon’s 2017 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 8:11 PM Deputies responded to N Van Buren ST, Village of Benton for a domestic disturbance.
On September 26:
● 10:59 a.m. A deputy responded to Saint Peters RD, Seymour Township for a hit and run.
● 9:22 p.m. Madisyn I. Heim, 17, Mineral Point was travelling on STH 23, Willow Springs Township when she lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, went down an embankment and came to a rest in the ditch. Heim reported no injuries. The 2015 Chrysler operated by Heim received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
