Monroe Police
On September 19:
● At 4:01 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries, at the intersection of 11th Street and 13th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by David J. Oliver, 23, Monroe, was northbound on 13th Avenue, attempted to turn west on to 11th Street and collided with a southbound vehicle on 13th Avenue, operated by a 16-year-old Monroe female. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Oliver was cited for an unsafe turn, failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn, and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Oliver was released pending a court appearance.
● At 9:05 p.m., officers were called to a report of an assault that had occurred in the 600 block of 8th Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of Scott A. Buol (19), Monroe, on a charge of battery and disorderly conduct. Buol was booked and released pending a court appearance.
Lafayette County Sheriff
On September 14
● 3:08 p.m. Shullsburg Fire and EMS responded to CTH W, White Oak Springs Township for a two vehicle accident. Darla J Korth, 57, Apple River, IL was traveling southbound on CTH O in a 2023 Chevrolet. Madeline M Runde, 30, Libertyville, IL, was traveling westbound on CTH W in a 2023 Subaru when she failed to stop at a stop sign, striking the passenger side of Korth’s vehicle. Korth reported no injuries and Runde was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene with severe damage.
On September 15:
● 11:29 p.m. Jordan J Gibbs, 30, Casade, IA, reported striking a deer on USH 151, Belmont Township. No injuries were reported and Gibbs’s 2018 Chrysler received severe damage and was towed from the scene.
On September 16:
● 5:06 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for a hit and run.
● 6:55 p.m. Shawna A. Skog, 33, Darlington, reported striking a deer on Walnut RD, Wiota Township. Skog’s 2022 Chrysler received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 11:46 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH H, Village of Blanchardville for a hit and run.
On September 19:
● 6:49 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Darlington Township for a two vehicle accident. Spencer A Tuttle, 23, Luxemburg, was traveling on STH 81 and attempting to pass another vehicle when both of their side mirrors touched causing minor damage. Both the 2012 Lincoln and 2022 Chevrolet were driven from the scene. No injuries were reported.
On September 20:
● 8:08 p.m. Arleigh L Bondele, 76, Gratiot, reported striking a deer on Larse Rd, Gratiot Township. Bondele’s 2022 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
Green County Sheriff
On September 18:
● 3:46 p.m. Kodah K. Chapman, 16, Platteville was travelling westbound on CTH XX, Belmont Township when he failed to yield and struck the car in front of him being operated by Holly C. McDermott, 34, Platteville. The juveniles were transported to the hospital for minor injuries. McDermott’s 2015 Chrysler and the 2016 Ford operated by Chapman received minor damage and were driven from the scene.
● 10:37 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township to assist Grant County Sheriff’s Office with vehicle vs. deer.
On September 19:
● At 6:13 a.m., Deputies responded to the W300 block of Stateline Road, in the Town of Spring Grove for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Gregory M. Singh, 61 of Davis IL, was traveling northbound on Best Road. Singh reported not being able stop. The vehicle continued through the intersection and entered the north ditch where it collided with an embankment. Singh reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
On September 20:
● At approximately 8:07 a.m., Deputies responded to the W5900 block of Town Center Rd., Town of Clarno, for a report of a disturbance that occurred the previous day. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Brandon S. Richardson, 34 of Monroe, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws and False Imprisonment. Brandon was housed at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
Monticello Police
On September 10:
● At approximately 7:47 a.m., Officers received an informational request from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This was in reference to a background on a firearm purchase.
● At approximately 9:30 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation on Lake Avenue at S. Madison St. As a result of the traffic stop, Robert H. Bearer, 44, of Juda was cited for a driver’s seatbelt violation. There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
