Green County Sheriff

On September 7:

● At approximately 4:41 p.m. Deputies and the Belleville Police Department responded to the W3900 block of Vista Ln., Town of Exeter, for a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. The investigation resulted in Abby M. Francois, 26 of Monticello, being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws and Criminal Damage to Property. Further investigation resulted in additional charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Drugs (other).   Abby will be housed at the Green County Jail pending posting of her bond or her initial court appearance.

On September 8: 

● At 2:48 a.m., Deputies responded to the W500 block of County Highway C, in the Town of Brooklyn, for the report of a vehicle in the ditch. Investig-ation resulted in the driver, Jesus P. Marquez-Garcia, 42 of Madison being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1 st -Alcohol). Garcia was further cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and Failure to Control Vehicle. Garcia was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending release to a responsible party.

On Sept 9:

● At 1:10 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the W700 block of Atkinson Road, in the Town of Albany for a disturbance. Investigation resulted in Terry L. Collins, 54 of Albany being arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property both domestic related. Collins was released pending court.

On September 10:

● At 1:28 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 104 & STH 11, Decatur Township, for a two-vehicle accident.  Investigation found a vehicle operated by, Curtis S Nafzger, 62, of Brodhead, was stopped at the intersection when a vehicle operated by, Angela J Bowman, 52, of Leaf River Ill, struck the back of Nafzger’s vehicle. Both reported wearing their seatbelts, were not injured and no airbag deployment in the vehicles.  Nafzger’s vehicle sustained functional damage was driven from the scene.  Bowman’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. 

On September 11:

● At 7:34 a.m., Deputies responded to a two vehicle collision in the N9400 block of STH 69, in the Town of New Glarus. The investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Amy M. Burdette, age 55 of Verona, was traveling south when a dog ran into the roadway. Amy rapidly slowed to avoid hitting the animal. A second vehicle following Amy, operated by Zachary P. Bennett, age 21 of Belleville, rear-ended Amy’s vehicle. Both Amy and Zachary reported wearing their seatbelts and were not injured in the collision. Amy’s vehicle sustained functional damage to the rear; there was no airbag deployment. Zachary’s vehicle sustained functional damage to the front; there was no airbag deployment. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Zachary was cited for following too close and operating without insurance.

● At approximately 1:05 p.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office and placed Tyler T. Tyler T. Neuenschwander, 28 of New Glarus, under arrest on a Probation Hold. Tyler was transported to the Green County Jail where he will be held. 

● At 2:30 p.m., Deputies responded to the W9300 block of CTH MM, Town of Cadiz, for a 911 call of suspicious persons asking for gas.  Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation. Methamphetamine paraphernalia was located on a passenger, Makayla L Ball, 21, Warren, IL.  Ball was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and jailed pending a court appearance.  The driver, Jon S Simmons, 61, Gratiot, was cited for Operating After Revocation (OWI related) and Display Unauthorized Regist-ration.  He was released with a mandatory court date.

On September 12:

● At approximately 10:18 a.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office and placed Katherine A. Huys-Wescott, 60 of Belleville, under arrest for a Probation Hold. Katherine was transported to the Green County Jail where she will be held.


Lafayette County Sheriff

On September 11:

● 6:18 p.m. Benton First Response, Benton Fire, and Hazel Green EMS responded to CTH I, Elk Grove Township for a one vehicle accident. Jacey R. Shea, 32, Belmont was traveling on CTH I when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a utility pole. Shea reported no injuries. Shea’s 2013 GMC received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. A deputy and Benton Police assisted. Shea was cited for Failure to Maintain Control. 

On September 13:

● 3:16 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 23, Willow Springs Township for a minor two vehicle accident. Patrick J Meylor, 49, Mineral Point was traveling northbound on STH 23 in his 2017 Chevrolet. Carol S Getman, 80, Mineral Point was also traveling northbound on STH 23 in her 2016 Jeep. While Getman was attempting to turn onto Godfrey RD, Meylor rear ended her vehicle. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Meylor was cited for No Proof of Insurance.
