Green County Sheriff

On Sept. 16:

● At approximately 7:47 a.m., Deputies responded to the N1700 block of Clarno Rd., Town of Clarno, for a report of a one vehicle crash.  

Investigation determined the operator, Jesse R. Voegeli, 47 of Browntown, was traveling north on Clarno Rd. when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the east ditch, striking a traffic post. Jesse and his passenger were not injured and reported wearing their seatbelts. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. There was no airbag deployment.

On Sept. 17:

● On 7:01 p.m., the Wisconsin DOC requested deputies check N8400 block of CTH CC, Exeter Township, for David J. West, of Arcadia. DOC advised David was non-compliant with his electronic monitoring, and they have issued a warrant for his arrest. Deputies made contact with David and he was subsequently arrested, without incident. David was transported and turned over to jail staff without incident. 

● At approximately 9:08 p.m., Deputies, Albany EMS, the Albany Fire Department and Belleville EMS, responded to the intersection of County Highway C and Brooklyn-Albany Rd., Town of Brooklyn, for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash with injury. Investigation determined the operator, Spencer R. Franklin, 23 of Evansville, was traveling east on CTH C when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Spencer’s truck exited the roadway into the east ditch and began to roll. The truck rolled approximately 4-5 times and went airborne, coming to rest in a cornfield.  

Spencer reported not wearing his seatbelt and being injured. The truck sustained disabling damage and there was no airbag deployment. Spencer was transported by EMS for his injuries. The lone passenger, Kaitlin M. Carpenter, 24 of Monroe, reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained non-life threatening injuries and was also transported by EMS. 

Further investigation resulted in Spencer being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense. Spencer was also cited for Driving too fast for Conditions. Spencer was later released to a responsible party with a future court date. The truck was towed from the scene.  

● At 1:32 a.m., Deputies stopped Luis F.M. Aceituno in the W3600 block of STH 11, Sylvester Township, for operating without a valid license. The investigation resulted in Luis being arrested for OWI 2nd. Luis was also cited for Operating After Revocation – Due to Alcohol and Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device. Luis was jailed pending a responsible party.

On Sept. 18:

● At approximately 12:33 p.m., Deputies and the Brodhead Police Department, responded to the W1000 block of State Highway 11, Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a one-vehicle crash. The vehicle was also reportedly still in the roadway. Investigation determined the operator, Gabriel M. Garcia, 18 of Whitewater, was traveling east on State Highway 11 when he fell asleep. The vehicle traveled across the roadway into the north ditch, striking a mailbox and then re-entered the roadway coming to a rest in the east bound lane. Gabriel and his passenger were not injured and reported wearing their seatbelts. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, there was no airbag deployment and it was towed from the scene. Gabriel was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving and was released with a future court date. 

● At approximately 6:00 p.m., Deputies, Belleville EMS and the Green County K-9, responded to the W4500 blk of CTH W, Town of Exeter for a report of a motorcycle crash. It was also reported that the operator, later identified as Dean R. Krychowiak, 46 of Monticello, had fled on foot into a nearby cornfield. Dean eventually exited the corn field and was taken into custody for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 3rd Offense. Investigation and a witness statement determined Dean was traveling west on CTH W when his motorcycle entered the gravel shoulder of the roadway. The motorcycle then fishtailed and fell over on it’s side and slid down an embankment, coming to a rest in the north ditch. Dean was not wearing a helmet and was evaluated by Belleville EMS for non-life threatening injuries on scene. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Dean was housed at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance or posting of his bond. Dean was also issued a citation for Driving too Fast for Conditions.

On Sept. 20

● At approximately 5:27 a.m.  deputies responded to the N5000 block of STH 104 in the Town of Albany for a single vehicle crash. During the investigation it was learned a vehicle driven by Sherman H. Buckley, 51, of Janesville was traveling west on Rock CTH B when the driver fell asleep. Buckley went through the T-intersection of STH 104 and CTH B. Buckley’s vehicle entered the west ditch where it sustained severe front end damage. Buckley sustained non-life threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital by the Brodhead Area EMS. The airbags deployed in the vehicle. Buckley was wearing a seatbelt. Buckley was cited for reckless driving and for failure to stop at a stop sign. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Brodhead Fire Department assisted at the scene.

● At approximately 6:46 p.m., Deputies and Belleville EMS responded to the W3900 block of CTH W, Town of Exeter, for a two vehicle accident. During the investigation it was learned Tammy L. Derrickson, 55, of Monroe, was traveling westbound when she slowed down to turn south onto CTH CC.  A vehicle driven by Morgan A. Hustad, 20, Brooklyn, also traveling westbound, was not able to see Derrickson’s vehicle slowing down due to the glare of the sun. Hustad’s vehicle then struck the rear of Derrickson’s vehicle. Derrickson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the  Hustad’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the  scene. Both drivers claimed to be wearing their seatbelts and had no airbag deployment. Hustad claimed no injuries. Derrickson sustained non-life threatening injuries and declined medical transport. The Belleville Area EMS assisted at the scene.

On Sept. 21

● At approximately 5:38 a.m.  deputies responded to N9200 block of Legler Rd in the Town of Brooklyn for an unwanted subject at the residence. The subject refused to leave when asked to do so. As a result Abby L. Jenson, 35, homeless, was arrested for trespassing. She was transported to the Green County Jail.

On Sept 22

● At approximately 9:44 p.m., Deputies responded to the 300 block of N. Mechanic St., Village of Albany, for a report of an altercation between two subjects. Investigation resulted in Ashley N. Eimermann, 40 of Albany, being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws. Ashley was housed in the Green County Jail pending posting of her bond or her initial court appearance. Further investigation resulted in Michael T. Pozsgay, 33 of Brodhead, being arrested for Strangulation and Suffocation. Michael was jailed pending his initial court appearance.
