Green County Sheriff
On April 4:
● At approximately 8:45 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the N7100 block of State Highway 104, Town of Albany. Investigation resulted in the operator, Maria Socorro-Murillo, 57 of Madison, being cited for speeding (75 MPH in a 55 MPH zone) and Operating without a Valid Driver’s License — 2nd offense within three years. Maria was released with a future court date.
● At approximately 11:29 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W3000 block of State Highway 11, Town of Jefferson. Investigation resulted in a passenger, Darwin W. Nipple, 54 of Brodhead, being arrested for an active warrant for Failure to Pay Fine. Darwin was transported to the Green County Jail where his bond was posted and he was released.
On April 5:
● At approximately 5:16 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the N5200 block of State Highway 69, Town of Washington. Investigation resulted in the operator, Martin Garcia-Duran, 36 of Monroe, being cited for speeding and Operating without a Valid License — 2nd Offense within three years. Martin was released with a future court date.
On April 6:
● At approximately 8:44 AM, Deputies responded to the W500 block of Mary Ln, Town of Decatur, to attempt to locate a wanted subject. Justin Kainz, 30, of Brodhead was arrested on a probation warrant. Kainz was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On April 7:
● At approximately 9:16 AM, Deputies responded to the W3200 block of High School Road, Town of Sylvester, for a report of a one vehicle crash with injury. Investigation determined that the operator, Brooklyn N. Schild, 20 of Monroe, was traveling west on High School Rd. when she was distracted while adjusting her radio. Brooklyn entered the north ditch line where she struck two trees and lost control of her vehicle, striking a barn. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle and it sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Brooklyn received minor injuries, reported wearing her seatbelt and declined medical treatment. Brooklyn was warned for Inattentive Driving.
● At approximately 2:13 PM, Deputies, Monticello First Response, and Green County EMS, responded to the N6100 block of Washington Rd., Town of Washington, for a report of a vehicle all over the roadway that was now parked. The driver was described as possibly having a medical emergency. Investigation resulted in the operator, Kyle R. Sparr, 24 of Monticello, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance. Kyle was released to a responsible party with a future court date.
On April 8:
● At approximately 10:00pm, Deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W3900 block of State Highway 11, Town of Sylvester, for unsafe lane deviation. As a result, the driver, Matthew D Olsen, 37, of Monroe, was arrested for operating while under the influence. Olsen was additionally cited for unsafe lane deviation. Olsen was released to a responsible party.
On April 10:
● At approximately 6:21am, Deputies located a damaged vehicle in the W3900 block of County Highway EE, Town of Mt Pleasant. The vehicle was found to be unoccupied. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Subsequent investigations identified that the crash occurred near the intersection of State Highway 104 and County Highway B (Rock County). The driver was identified as Brady W Mielke-McGlumphy,24, of New Glarus. Contact was later made with Mielke-McGlumphy who reported no injuries, no airbag deployment, and reported wearing his seatbelt. Mielke-McGlumphy was cited for fail to maintain control, failure to notify law enforcement of an accident, fail to notify DMV of an address change, hit/run property adjacent to a highway, and obstructing.
● At approximately 12:30pm, Deputies along with the Juda Fire Department and Green County EMS, responded to the N2200 block of County Highway S, Town of Jefferson, for a two vehicle accident with injuries. Investigations determined Robert A Winning, 31, of Monroe, was northbound on County Highway S, when he became distracted. Winning’s vehicle then struck a vehicle driving southbound on County Highway S driven by Nicole L Gerber, 39, of Rock City. Winning reported wearing his seatbelt, reported no injuries, and no airbag deployment in his vehicle. Winning’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Gerber and her juvenile passenger both reported wearing their seatbelts, reported injuries, and the airbags did deploy. Both were transported for further medical evaluation. Gerber’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Winning was cited for inattentive driving.
On April 11:
● At approximately 12:27 pm, Deputies along with Albany EMS, the Albany Fire Department, and Albany Police Officers, responded to the W1300 block of State Highway 59, Town of Albany, for a report of a commercial motor vehicle that had overturned. The driver, Robert G Haberman Jr, 71, of Brodhead, reported being westbound on State Highway 59 when he proceeded to negotiate a curve. Haberman reported his vehicle entered the gravel causing him to take corrective action. As a result of the corrective action and the weight of the load, Haberman’s vehicle overturned onto its side. Haberman reported wearing his seatbelt and sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Haberman was transported for further medical care. Haberman’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Haberman was cited for failure to maintain control.
On April 14:
● Green County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Marcus Timothy Gordon, 19, of Monticello, for Possession of Child Pornography and Felony Bail Jumping. Marcus was taken into custody at his place of employment within the City of Monroe, WI. This arrest stemmed from an active investigation into a National Center for Missing & Exploited (NCMEC) Cybertip received by the Green County Sheriff’s Office in April 2022. Marcus will be held in the Green County Jail without bond pending an initial court appearance.
● At approximately 2:12 PM, Deputies arrested Eric A. Calkins, 35 of Albany, for an active warrant while he was at the Green County Justice Center for a court appearance. Eric was issued a signature bond and was released from custody.
● At approximately 2:17 AM, Deputies received a traffic complaint in the N5900 block of State Highway 69, Town of Mt. Pleasant. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the N3500 block of State Highway 69, Town of Monroe. Investigation resulted in the operator, Gerald D. Erickson, 64 of Monroe, being arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence of Alcohol — 1st Offense. Gerald was also cited for Operating Left of Center and Possession of THC. Gerald was released to a responsible party with a future court date.
On April 16:
● At approximately 12:57 PM, Deputies along with Belleville PD and the Belleville Fire Department responded to the N9300 block of State Highway 92, Town of Exeter, for a single vehicle accident with no injuries reported. The driver, Peri S Erickson, 19, of New Glarus, reported being southbound on State Highway 92 when an animal entered the roadway causing her to swerve. Erickson’s vehicle entered the ditch and struck a tree. Erickson denied injuries, reported wearing her seatbelt, and the air bags did not deploy. Erickson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Erickson received a citation for operating without a valid driver license.
On April 20:
● At 5:02 a.m., Deputies stopped Justin M. Lovelace, 33, of Loves Park, for a speeding violation in the N1800 block of CTH T, Spring Grove Township. The investigation resulted in Justin being arrested for possession of cocaine, and cited for speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia. Justin was booked into the Green County Jail.
Brodhead Police
On April 10:
● 11:02am, a 29 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 800 block of 1st Center Ave. for Bail Jumping. He was also cited for Non-registration of Auto and Display Unauthorized Vehicle Registration Plate.
● 7:47pm, a 32 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 400 block of E 6th Ave. for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Bail Jumping.
● 8:09pm, Police responded to the 1200 block of E 3rd Ave. for the report of Suspicious Activity; an undetermined noise from a shed. The area was checked but no other suspicious activity was located.
On April 12:
● 10:13pm, Police responded to the 1200 block of W 4th Ave. for the report of a Domestic Problem; subjects involved in a verbal altercation. The parties were separated for the night and this matter was referred to the Green County District Attorney.
On April 13:
● 9:01am, Police responded to the 600 block of W 2nd Ave. for the report of a Code Violation; items covered by tarps and junk vehicles parked on the property. Contact was made and a warning was issued.
● 9:44am, Police responded to the 100 block of E 3rd Ave. for the report of a Code Violation; debris and vehicle parts on the property. Contact was made and a warning was issued.
● 9:47am, Police responded to the 400 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of a Code Violation; a sign on the property. This matter remains under investigation.
● 4:57pm, Police responded to the 1200 block of W 2nd Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog bite. This matter was referred to the Green County Health Department.
● 6:34pm, Police responded to the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; a subject causing a disturbance. Upon investigation, a 42 year old Brodhead man was arrested for Bail Jumping and Disorderly Conduct.
On April 14:
● 12:40am, Police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Suspicious Activity; a storage container was found open. Contact was made with the property manager; no items were taken and no other suspicious activity was located.
● 6:51pm, a 29 year old Brodhead woman was arrested in the 1600 block of 20th St. for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Battery.
On April 15:
● 1:38am, Police responded to the 1800 block of E 2nd Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; subject causing a disturbance via phone. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.
● 3:58pm, Police responded to the 500 block of 11th St. for the report of Suspicious Activity; an unknown subject on the property. The area was checked but no suspicious activity was located.
● 7:24pm, Police responded to the 2600 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; two dogs running at large. The area was checked but the dogs were not located.
● 10:44pm, Police responded to the 1800 block of E 2nd Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; subject causing a disturbance via phone. Contact was made and a warning was issued.

● Michele D. Bartels, age 67, of Platteville, was referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney’s Office for operating after revocation following a traffic stop on Gun Club Road on Friday, April 8, 2022 at approximately 9:21 PM.
● Ashley M. Rohn, age 28, of Dodgeville, was arrested Saturday, April 9, 2022, at approximately 7:41 PM for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on E. River Street.
● Terry H. Collins, age 29, of Freeport, IL, was cited Sunday, April 10, 2022, at approximately 12:35 AM for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on STH 81.
● La Aaron Z.V. Love, age 19, of Mesa, AZ, was cited Sunday, April 10, 2022, at approximately 12:35 AM for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on STH 81.
● David E. Villalta-Renderos, age 30, of Belmont, was cited Sunday, April 10, 2022, at approximately 2:24 AM for operating while suspended following a traffic stop on Keep Street.
● Kristopher A. Szempruch, age 42, of Mineral Point, was cited Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at approximately 9:54 PM for operating while suspended following a traffic stop on Wells Street.
● A 16 year old Darlington male was cited Friday, April 15, 2022, at approximately 6:02 PM for operating without a valid license and operating without insurance following a traffic crash on E. Louisa Street.
● Christopher W. Wilson, age 26, of Muscoda, was arrested Saturday, April 16, 2022, at approximately 8:15 PM for possession of a schedule II narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC, and operating after revocation following a traffic stop on Washington Street. Wilson was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains on a probation hold.
● Angelina M. Rueckheim, age 18, of Muscoda, was cited Saturday, April 16, 2022, at approximately 8:15 PM for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Washington Street.
● Ashley A. Bevins, age 31, of Darlington, was arrested Sunday, April 17, 2022, at approximately 4:49 AM for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct following a dispute on E. Lucy Street.
● Taran H. Fox, age 24, of Belmont, was cited Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at approximately 12:02 AM for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on STH 23.
● A 14 year old Darlington male was cited on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at approximately 3:42 PM for operating an off highway motorcycle (OHM) without the required safety certificate following a traffic stop on E. Louisa ST. The child was also issued written warnings for operating an OHM on a state highway, operating an OHM without proof of registration, and local route violations.
● Eugene Taylor, age 74, of Darlington, was cited on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at approximately 2:00 PM for retail theft after he intentionally left a restaurant without paying.

● 12:15 AM Deputies and Southwest Health EMS responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for a domestic dispute. Kevin RJ Burbach, 38, Platteville was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and posted bond.
● 1:56 AM South Wayne Fire and Green County EMS responded to STH 11, Wayne Township for a one vehicle accident. Jennifer A Seffrood, 46, South Wayne was traveling westbound on STH 11 in her 2015 Jeep when she fell asleep and entered the ditch, striking a guard rail. Seffrood was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and her vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage.

● 9:41 AM Benton First and Hazel Green EMS responded to 3rd ST in the Village for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.
● 9:50 AM A deputy responded to S McKnight ST in the Village of South Wayne for check welfare.
● 10:52 AM Woodford First and Argyle EMS responded to CTH M, Wiota Township for a medical emergency.
● 11:19 AM A deputy responded to STH 23, Willow Springs Township for a two vehicle accident. Christopher A Lange, 31, Darlington was traveling eastbound on Short Cut RD in his 2017 Ford when he came to a complete stop at the stop sign. Lange left the stop sign to cross STH 23, striking Michael T Hildreth, 57, and his passenger, Beth A Hildreth, 55, both of Byron, IL as they were traveling northbound on STH 23 in their 2015 Chevrolet. No injuries reported. Both vehicles received moderate damage, and Lange’s vehicle was driven from the scene while Hildreth’s was towed. Darlington Police assisted on scene.
