Monroe Police

●  12:02 PM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with reported injuries at STH 69 and 6th Street. Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Diane L. Kohl ( 68), Monroe, was southbound on STH 69, attempted to turn left onto 6th Street, and collided with a vehicle which was northbound on STH 69, operated by a 19-year-old Dakota (IL) man. A passenger in the Dakota man’s vehicle was transported by Green County EMS with non-life threatening injuries. Kohl’s vehicle sustained moderate damage, and the other vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Kohl was cited for failure to yield right of way while turning left, and was released pending a court appearance.
