Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of Feb. 27 to March 5, police performed 21 security checks, 17 citizen assists, five assists of other agencies, 11 follow-ups to incidents, 17 vehicle registration and 12 traffic stops; responded to 32 calls for service and reported six EMS calls, 10 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and no fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported.
On Feb. 27:
● A Monroe man, 40, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Department of Corrections at 7 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 7:28 p.m. in the 100 block of Cedar Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● Suspicious activity responded at 9:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● A domestic problem was reported at 3:52 p.m. March 1 in the 400 block of East 5th Avenue.
● Disorderly conduct was reported at 12:40 a.m. March 3 in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On March 4:
● A code violation was reported at 7:39 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 9:50 p.m. in the 800 block of 23rd Street.
● A domestic problem was reported at 10:41 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. The matter was resolved.
On March 5:
● Items illegally placed in a business dumpster was reported at 11:27 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.
● A Janesville man, 24, was cited for speeding at 7:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue.
Monticello Police
MONTICELLO — Police responded at 8:20 p.m. Feb. 26 to the village. Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response assisted.
On Feb. 27:
● Police responded to check welfare at 9:39 p.m. in the 400 block of East Coates Avenue. Everything was found to be okay.
● An animal problem was reported at 10:37 p.m. in the 500 block of North Main Street.
On March 1:
● Police assisted a citizen with medication disposal at 1:51 p.m.
● Police assisted a citizen with a lost/stolen wallet at 4:34 p.m.
● A dog at large was reported at 10:28 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. The dog was located.
On March 2:
● Chickens at a residence was reported at 1:54 p.m. in the 200 block of East Highland Avenue. A copy of the village ordinance was given.
● Junk vehicles at a residence was reported at 2:29 p.m. in the 100 block of East Lake Avenue. A letter was sent to the homeowner.
● Police responded to check welfare at 2:57 p.m. in the 500 block of South Monroe Street. Investigation revealed disorderly conduct had taken place. Report was forwarded to the Green County District Attorney’s Office.
● An inoperable/unregistered vehicle on a property was reported at 6:09 p.m. in the 500 block of South Monroe Street and at 6:18 p.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. It was found no violation took place.
● Police responded at 11:36 p.m. to the village. Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response assisted.
● A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:48 p.m. March 3 in the 200 block of North Main Street. Police were unable to locate vehicle.
On March 4:
● Police assisted a citizen with medication disposal at 8:01 a.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street.
● Police assisted a citizen with a vehicle registration at 2:05 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street.
● Disorderly conduct was reported at 3:21 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. Investigation is ongoing.
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:21 p.m. in the 200 block of North Kennedy Street. A semi-truck/trailer backed into a power pole causing the power line to drop. Alliant Energy assisted.
Monroe Police
MONROE — Christopher P. Graves, 48, Monroe, was arrested on charges of domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery and a warrant at 3:19 a.m. March 5 in the 600 block of 17th Avenue. He was jailed.
On March 6:
● Olivia J. Erickson, 31, Blanchardville, was cited for retail theft at 12:29 p.m. at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West.
On March 7:
● Tyler W. Brumfield, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant at 3:20 p.m. March 7 at a residence in the 2700 block of Wis. 69. He was jailed.
On March 9:
● Maurice D. King, 51, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at 1:11 a.m. in the 300 block of 3rd Street. He was jailed.
● Jonathon D. Grossen, 40, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of forgery and unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information at 8:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of 14th Avenue. He was jailed.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — Thor A. Crapp, 33, Monticello, turned himself in on an arrest warrant at 2:42 p.m. March 7 at the Green County Jail. He was jailed.
Lafayette County Sheriff
DARLINGTON — On March 3:
● Jamie J. Jorgeson, 43, Hazel Green, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance at 6:15 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.
● Eric J. Hocking, 19, Darlington, was cited for speeding, driving while suspended and no vehicle insurance at 7:03 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.
● Andrew C. Baum, 20, Lake Villa, Illinois, was cited for possession of marijuana at 2:35 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:47 p.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings and at 10:43 p.m. on County E, Town of Darlington.
● Lonnie D. Severson, 53, Monroe, was arrested on warrants issued by Lafayette County at 5:52 p.m. He was jailed.
On March 4:
● A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 12:30 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 5:33 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 5:50 p.m. on County F, Town of Belmont, at 6:12 p.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle and at 9:21 p.m. on West Church Road, Town of Wiota.
● An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 5:56 p.m. on County N, Town of Blanchard and at 9:25 p.m. on County I, Town of Shullsburg.
● Jose L. Gonzalez-Vilchis, 42, Darlington, was cited for driving without a license at 8:13 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Darlington.
On March 5:
● Kirk L. Bender, 31, Mineral Point was cited for speeding and no proof of vehicle insurance at 3:58 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.
● A deputy responded for a citizen assist at 6:02 a.m. on Fayette Road, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted.
● A noise complaint was reported at 6:54 p.m. on Meier Road, Town of Wayne.

● Criminal damage to property was reported at 1:41 p.m. on South Van Buren Street in Benton.
● A deputy responded for a citizen assist at 2:06 p.m. on School Street in Blanchardville.
● Casey J. Bennett, 34, Benton, was arrested on two warrants issued by Lafayette County at 11:12 p.m. in Grant County. He was transported to Lafayette County Jail. He was jailed.
On March 7:
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:06 a.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington.
● A deputy responded for traffic control at 5:49 a.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.
● A domestic dispute was reported at 2:14 p.m. on Mine Road, Town of Elk Grove.
● Terry J. Aide, 27, Argyle, was cited for driving after suspension, driving with a suspended registration and no vehicle insurance at 11:54 p.m.
On March 8:
● A 911 misdial was reported at 6:14 a.m. on North Green Street in Argyle and at 2:15 p.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne.
● Deputies assisted Darlington police with an alarm at 1:31 p.m. on Galena Street in Darlington.
● Harassment was reported at 4:02 p.m. on Railroad Avenue in Benton.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 4:14 p.m. on South Galena Road, Town of Benton.
● An animal bite was reported at 4:39 p.m. on Sunny Lane, Town of Belmont.
