Monticello Police

On April 29:

●  At approximately 8:18 p.m., Officers responded within the Village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

On April 30:

●  At approximately 6:18 p.m., Officers took custody of a found dog in the 600 block of Summit Avenue.  The dog will be cared for by a citizen until the owner is found. 

●  At approximately 8:14 p.m., Officers received a noise/music complaint in the 100 block of N. Main Street.  The music was turned down.  

On May 2:

●  At approximately 2:36 p.m., Officers were contacted by a citizen in the 200 block of Oak Ridge Avenue in reference to some suspicious activity.  After speaking with the citizen, the issue was found to be a civil matter.  

●  At approximately 8:47 officers placed flyers on vehicles reminding them about the street sweeping that will be taking place on May 4th. 

●  At approximately 8:49 p.m., Officers received a report of a suspicious person walking though backyards in the 500 block of Washington Street. The person was identified and it was found that they were looking for a lost cat.  

On May 3:

●  At approximately 9:05 a.m., Officers were contacted by a citizen in reference to a landlord/tenant dispute in the 500 block of W. Coates Avenue.  The matter was found to be a civil matter. 

On May 5:

●  At approximately 11:40 a.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a suspicious person in the 300 block of S. Main Street. The investigation is ongoing.  

On May 6:

●  At approximately 8:07 a.m., Officers received a complaint of grass clippings in the gutter located in the 100 block of E. Lake Avenue.  A violation notice was left at the residence. 

●  At approximately 1:43 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation in the area of State Hwy 69 and W. Coates Avenue. As a result, Joni Salas Tzanahua, 21,  Monticello was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

On May 8:

●  At approximately 12:55 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of S. Main Street for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the stop, Craig L. Slotten, 32, Monticello was cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

On May 9:

●  At approximately 7:59 a.m., Officers received a call about a dog that got loose and is at large in the area of State Hwy 69 and E. Lake Avenue.  Officers patrolled the area and were not able to locate the dog. 

●  At approximately 9:21 a.m., Officers received a disorderly conduct complaint in the 200 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  The incident is under investigation.

●  At approximately 12:42 p.m., Officers received a theft complaint in the 100 block of N. Main Street. The incident is under investigation. 

On May 10:

●  At approximately 7:09 p.m., Officers were forwarded a complaint of possible illegal burning in the 300 block of W. Coates Avenue.  The matter is under investigation. 

On May 1l:

●  At approximately 8:17 a.m., Officers received a report of a code violation, grass in excess of 8” long, in the 200 block of S. Pierce Street. Grass at this location was indeed found be in excess of 8” long.  A letter was sent to the property owner. 

At approximately 11:57 a.m., Officers conducted traffic control on N. Main Street at Lake Avenue for Monticello Fire First Response.  First Response was responding to an emergency call outside of the village. 

●  At approximately 6:54 p.m., Officers received a parking complaint in the 500 block of Washington Street.  It was reported that a vehicle was parked longer that 24 hours in one spot.  The vehicle in question was moved a short time later. 

●  At approximately 7:49 p.m., Officers responded within the Village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

●  At approximately 8:49 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of N. Main Street for an animal complaint. The incident is under investigation.

On May 12:

●  At approximately 4:50 p.m., Officers received a parking complaint in the 400 block of N. Pratt Road.  The vehicle was removed.

●  At approximately 6:24 p.m., Officers received a parking complaint in the 500 block of Washington Street.  As a result, a parking citation was issued for a vehicle that was parked less than 15 feet from a fire hydrant. 

●  At approximately 6:24 p.m., Officers received a complaint over a dispute of property.  The matter was civil in nature and the complainant was advised that they would have to contact an attorney. 

On May 13:

●  At approximately 8:30 a.m., Officers received a parking complaint on South Avenue.  The matter was resolved a short time later. 

●  At approximately 10:51 a.m., Officers had a set of keys turned into them.  The keys were found in the 100 block of W. North Avenue.  The keys were placed into found property. 

●  At approximately 3:57 p.m., Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Monroe Street for a complaint of illegal dumping and loud music.  The matter on both issues were resolved a short time later. 

On May 14:

●  At approximately 11:02 a.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of E. Lake Avenue for a found wallet.  The owner was identified and a fake identification card was found inside.  The owner of the wallet was contacted. 

●  At approximately 1:47 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of S. Main Street for a report of excessive grass clippings in the street.  Officers made contact with a home owner who had cleaned up the grass clippings. 

●  At approximately 5:30 p.m., Officers observed a subject exit a parked vehicle in the 200 block of N. Main Street with alcoholic beverage.  Contact was made with the subject.  As a result, Jonathan N. Hart, Madison was cited for open intoxicants in a public place.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 


Green County Sheriff

On June 2:

●  At approximately 9:31 AM, Deputies along with New Glarus Police responded to the W6500 block of Klassy Rd, Town of New Glarus, for a disturbance. Investigations resulted in Nicholas T Sorenson, 40, of New Glarus, being arrested for disorderly conduct and battery. Sorenson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance or the posting of bond.

On June 5:

●  At 12:28 PM deputies along with Brooklyn Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of STH 92 & Glenway Rd, Town of Brooklyn, for a one vehicle crash with reported injuries. Investigation revealed that Rebekah R. Pollock, 50, of Deforest was northbound on STH 92 when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Glenway Rd. Pollock continued through the intersection and collided with a utility pole on the east side of the road. Pollock was injured in the crash and was transported by Brooklyn EMS to UW Hospital. Pollock was wearing her seat belt and the air bags did not deploy. The vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.  Pollock will be issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign at a later date.

●  At 3:18 PM, Deputies, Albany EMS, Albany Fire, and Green County EMS responded to the N7700 blk of Kelly Road, Town of Brooklyn, for an ATV accident with injuries. Investigation revealed that an 11 year old juvenile male, was operating an ATV on private property when he attempted to turn and as a result, the ATV rolled and landed on top of him.  Witnesses were able to lift the ATV off of him. He was complaining of hip and pelvic pain. and was later transported by Albany EMS to UW hospital. 

●  At 11:52pm, Deputies stopped Jared M. Manske, 29, of New London, for speeding in the W5200 block of STH 11, Monroe Township. The investigation resulted in Jared being arrested for OWI 1st offense and cited for speeding and was later released.

●  At 1:30 am, Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 81 and Trotter Rd, Adams Township, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. The investigation resulted in Philip S. Tackett, 60, of Argyle, being arrested for OWI 6th offense and was transported to the jail.

On June 6:

●  At approximately 8:53 PM, Deputies, along with Argyle First Response and Argyle EMS, responded to the W8000 block of County Highway C, Town of Adams, for a reported single vehicle rollover accident. Investigations found that Morgan E.M. Kleeman, 16, of New Glarus, was eastbound on County Highway C when she proceeded to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Kleeman’s vehicle entered the gravel where she lost control of the vehicle as it entered the ditch. Kleeman’s vehicle rolled as it continued up an embankment. Kleeman advised reported wearing her seatbelt, reported injuries, and airbag deployment within the vehicle. Kleeman’s vehicle was towed from the scene after sustaining damages.

On June 7:

●  At approximately 1:17 AM, Deputies responded to the N2400 block of Brodhead-Airport Rd., Town of Spring Grove. The vehicle involved was no longer on scene, but was later located on Hafeman Rd. in Rock County. An investigation was conducted which determined that the operator, Brennan Z. Bloedel, 25 of Brodhead, was traveling south on Brodhead-Airport Rd when he entered the east ditch for an unknown reason. Brennan continued through the ditch, striking a mailbox and a utility pole, breaking the utility pole off of its base. Brennan then re-entered the roadway and continued driving until his truck became inoperable. Brennan reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. There was no airbag deployment and the truck was towed from the scene. Brennan was subsequently cited for Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Crash to Law Enforcement, Hit and Run; Property Adjacent to Highway and for Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle. Brennan was issued a future court date.  

●  At approximately 7:30 PM, Deputies, Green County EMS and The Juda Fire Department, responded to the W3400 block of State Highway 11, Town of Sylvester, for a report of a one vehicle crash. Investigation determined that the operator, Brittany J. Collins, 32 of Juda, was traveling east when she stated the sun was in her eyes and she unknowingly entered the north ditch, striking a mailbox. The vehicle came to a rest in the westbound lane. Brittany reported not being injured and wearing her seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle and it was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Further investigation resulted in Brittany being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance and was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of her vehicle. Brittany was released to a responsible party with a future court date. 

●  At approximately 12:24 AM, Deputies made contact with a driver in the W4100 block of Wirth Lane, Town of Exeter. Further investigation resulted in the operator, Landon K. Murray, 18 of Monticello, being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance. Landon was released to a responsible party with a future court date. 

On June 8:

●  At approximately 8:18 PM, Deputies responded to the W3100 block of County Highway EE, Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a one vehicle rollover crash. Investigation determined the operator, Socorro Garcia-Hernandez, 32 of Monticello, was traveling east on CTH EE when he swerved to miss a deer. Socorro’s vehicle entered the north shoulder, striking an embankment. This caused the vehicle to roll on to the driver’s side where it came to a rest. Socorro reported wearing his seatbelt, there was no airbag deployment and he was not injured. The vehicle had to be towed due to disabling damage. Socorro was subsequently issued citations for Operating Without a Valid License (3rd Offense within 3 Years) and Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle. Socorro was released with a future court date.  


Monroe Police

On May 29:

●  At 12:16a.m. officers were called to the 600 block of 30th Street for a report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Dean C. Fuchs, 56, of Monroe for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-3rd offense. Fuchs was also cited for possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) and for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Fuchs was processed and released to a responsible person after posting bail, pending a court apprearance. 

On May28:

●  At 6:50a.m. officers arrested Roger M. Blum, 53 of Monroe, in the 500 block of West 21st Street, following a response to a 911 call. Blum was charged with misdemeanor bail jumping for a prior case which prohibited contact with a designated person. Blum was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 30:

●  At 4:17p.m. officers arrested Stephan P. Shambrook, 28 of Monroe at a residence in the 300 block of 3rd Street, on a warrant issued by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office for child support. Shambrook was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On June 1:

●  At approximately, 3:49a.m. officers responded to the 800 block of 6th Street for a report of possible indecent exposure of genitals and drug use. Investigation resulted in Todd M. Beyersdorf, 59, homeless, being arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping and several outstanding warrants. Todd was taken to the Green County Jail, where he was held without bond, pending a initial appearance. 

Maeghan M. Bouressa, 30 of Tigerton, WI. was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior and disorderly conduct. Maeghan was held at the Green County Jail, pending court or posting of cash bond. Todd was taken to the Green County Jail, pending court or the posting of cash bond. 

At approximately 4:29p.m., officers arrested Rene Castellanos Avila, 38 in Monroe in the 2000 block of Edgeview Dr. Rene was arrested for physical abuse of a child. Rene was taken to the Green County Jail, where he was held without bond, pending an initial appearance. 

●  At approximately, 4:42p.m. officers responded to the intersection of State Highway 69 and 30th Street for a two vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed a 17 year old from Monroe was operating westbound on 30th Street, when she failed to stop sign, proceeding into the intersection of State Highway 69 and striking Wayne P. Rose 67, of Monroe who was operating southbound on State Highway 69. Wayne reported injuries and was transported by EMS to a local hospital. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. The 17 year old female reported no injuries. The 17 year old was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and released, pending court.

On June 12:

At 1:07a.m. officers responded to a 911 call in the 1700 block of 12th Street in the city. An investigation into the 911 call led to the arrest of Eduardo Eli De Leon Morales, 35 of Monroe for disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment, and strangulation under Wisconsin’s Domestic Abuse laws. Eduardo was also charged of operating a M/V while under the influence of Alcohol. Eduardo was transported to the Green County Jail where he remains pending a mandatory court appearance.

On June16:

At 8:17p.m. officers arrested Kelly A. Guzman, 35 of Monroe, at a residence in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue, after a call was received complaining of a person violating bail conditions. Guzman was charged with two counts of felony bail jumping, for violating bail conditions on prior cases, prohibiting alcohol consumption. Guzman was arrested on three outstanding warrants from Rock County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court on child support cases. Guzman was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.  

On June 18:

At approximately 12:31a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Investigation into the stop, lead to Heidi K. Schmoldt, 54, of Monroe, being arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 1st offense. Heidi was also cited for a defective headlight and released to a responsible party pending court.

On June 19:

At 2:39a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of 8th St. in the city of Monroe. An investigation into that stop led to the arrest of Mandy J. Mboge, 40 of Monticello for OWI 1st offense, possession of THC (municipal) and possession of drug paraphernalia (municipal). Mandy also received citations for improper left turn and possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle by a driver. Mandy was ultimately released to a responsible party pending a mandatory court appearance.

At 9:41p.m. officers responded to the intersection of 21st St. and HWY 69 for a report of an accident involving a light pole. An investigation into the accident determined Sergio A. Rodriguez-Salais,21 of Dodgeville was traveling South on HWY 69 and attempted to conduct a u-turn at the intersection. While conducting the turn, the light was struck causing the pole to fall covering the entire North lane of travel. No injuries or airbag deployment reported. With the assistance of the streets department the roadway was cleared without issue. Sergio was mailed a citation for unlawful u-turn.


Brodhead Police

On May 22:

●  12:29am, an 18 year old Brodhead woman was cited in the W500 block of Decatur Rd. (Pearl Island parking lot) for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

●  3:32pm, Police responded to the 1600 block of E 4th Ave. for the report of Trespassing; a subject unwanted on the property. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

●  4:20pm, Police responded to the 400 block of 10th St. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; a subject riding a motorized scooter on the roadway. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

●  11:32pm, Police responded to the 1400 block of 11th St. for Suspicious Activity; an unoccupied vehicle. The owner was contacted and was fishing; no other suspicious activity was located. 

On May 23:

●  9:27am, Police responded to the 2200 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Damage to Property; spray painting found on a building. This matter remains under investigation. 

●  6:48pm, Police responded to the 1800 block of E 3rd Ave. for a Traffic Complaint; an unregistered vehicle being operated on the roadway. The owner was contacted and a warning was issued. 

●  7:23pm, a 37 year old Cottage Grove man was cited in the 1200 block of 1st Center Ave. for Failure to Transfer Vehicle Title, Motor Vehicle Insurance Required/No Proof on Person, and Seatbelt Violation.  

●  7:30pm, a 52 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 1100 block of W 3rd Ave. for Operating after Suspension and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Registration Revoked / Suspended / Canceled.  

●  8:58pm, a 56 year old Brodhead woman was arrested in the 700 block of 17th St. on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office.  

On May 24:

●  4:04pm, Police responded to the 200 block of 7th St. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; a juvenile in the roadway on a motorized scooter. Contact was made with a parent and a warning was issued.  

On May 25:

●  7:35am, Police responded to the 900 block of 21st St. for a Parking Complaint; a vehicle in violation of the City’s 48hr Parking ordinance. This matter remains under investigation. 

●  9:18am, Police responded to the 200 block of 1st St. for the report of Damage to Property; windows covered with paint. The complainant did not wish to pursue charges; this was an informational report only.  

●  10:41am, a juvenile was cited in the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for Truancy.  

●  10:52am, a juvenile was cited in the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for Truancy. 

●  1:38pm, Police responded to the 400 block of 14th St. for the report of a Code Violation; furniture left on the terrace. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

●  7:23pm, a 31 year old Beloit man was cited in the N3800 block of Park Rd (Decatur Dam Park) for Disorderly Conduct with a Motor Vehicle and Damage to Park Property. 


Darlington Police

On May 21:

●  Jose Morales-Laureano, age 27, of Darlington, was arrested at approximately 7:10 PM, for operating under the influence (2nd offense) following a disturbance on E. Harriet ST. Morales-Laureano was also charged with operating after revocation, possession of open intoxicants, and bail jumping.  

On May 22:

●  Jose Morales-Laureano, age 27, of Darlington, was arrested at approximately 8:45 am for disorderly conduct, battery, and criminal damage to property following an investigation into a disturbance that occurred on E. Mary Street.  

On May 23:

●  Isaiah Martinez, age 22, of Chicago, IL, was cited at approximately 11:00 am for speeding following a traffic stop on STH 81. 

On May 31: 

●  David Blench, age 50, of Darlington, was cited at 11:30 pm, for disorderly conduct following an investigation of Cornelia St.

On June 3:

●  Todd R. Gilbertson, age 59, of Blanchardville, was arrested at approximately 5:48 PM for a valid probation warrant following a request by probation. 

●  Matthew J. Ruf, age 20, of Darlington, was arrested at approximately 8:38 PM for violating the absolute sobriety law following a traffic stop on Ames Road. Ruf was also cited for underage drinking and speeding.

On June 4:

●  Ruben Trujillo-Vega, age 22, of Platteville, was arrested at approximately 11:59 PM for OWI second offense, operating after revocation, and misdemeanor bail jumping following a traffic stop on STH 81. Trujillo-Vega was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains on a probation hold.

●  Santos G. Murillo-Salgado, age 44, of Darlington, at approximately 10:10 PM for a valid warrant through Green County following a traffic stop on STH 23. Murillo-Salgado was also cited for operating without a valid license.

On June 5:

●  Pedro Duran-Duran, age 51, of Darlington, was arrested at approximately 1:52 AM for OWI first offense following a traffic complaint on Spring Street. Duran-Duran was also cited for operating without a valid license.

On June 14:

●  Steven J. Boyle, age 70, of Darlington, was cited on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license following a traffic accident on Center Drive.  

●  Donis N. Ortez-Ortez, age 20, of Darlington, was arrested on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at approximately 2:51 AM, for OWI.  Ortez was observed driving up the wrong side of Main Street.  He was also cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and for operating on the wrong side of a divided highway.

●  Arnulfo Solano-Hernandez, age 64, of Darlington, was arrested on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at approximately 8:35 PM, for OWI following an investigation of a hit and run traffic crash on Wells St. Solando-Hernandez was also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and for failure to notify police of an accident.

●  Israel Ortega-Mendez, age 38, of Darlington, was arrested on Monday, June 13, 2022, at approximately 2:04 AM, for OWI following a traffic stop on Mary St. Ortega-Mendez was also cited for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and for possession of open intoxicants in motor vehicle. 

On June 15:

●  At 4:30 p.m. officers arrested Tina R. Ubersox, 34, Monroe at a residence in the 1900 block of 10th Street on an active warrant issued by the  Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court on a child support case. Ubersox was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
