● 12:55 AM Deputies responded to Grandview AV, Village of Argyle for stolen vehicle. Green County Sheriff’s Office and Darlington K9 assisted on scene.

● 1:09 AM A deputy responded to STH 81, Darlington Township for a disabled vehicle. 

● 10:27 AM Shonice L. Millsap, 20, Oswego was cited for Operating Motor Vehicle without Insurance on STH 81, Seymour Township.  

● 10:41 AM A deputy responded to Breeze Terrace AV, Village of Argyle for a hit and run. 

● 10:53 AM A deputy responded to Mason ST, Village of Blanchardville for a vehicle theft. As a result Chad V. Diddens, 20, Freeport was cited for Obstruction. 

● 11:43 AM A deputy responded to W Mound View AV, Village of Belmont for a gas drive-off.

● 2:21 PM A deputy responded to Lake RD, Fayette Township for a 911 misdial. 

● 2:48 PM Jeremy M. Winger, 35, Benton was cited for Operating without a Valid License and Speeding on STH 81, Seymour Township.

● 4:27 PM A deputy responded to King RD, Willow Springs Township for a 911 misdial. 

● 4:32 PM A deputy responded to Valley RD, Argyle Township for criminal damage to property. 

● 7:32 PM Shullsburg EMS responded to E Water ST in the City for a medical emergency. 

● 7:54 PM Anna M. Rinaldo, 28. Platteville was cited for Speeding on STH 81, Elk Grove Township. 

● 8:28 PM Deputies responded to Lake RD, Fayette Township for a disorderly dispute. 

● 9:49 PM Robert A. Kamps, 53, Platteville reported striking a deer on CTH B, Belmont Township. Kamps’ 2007 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 9:50 PM A deputy responded to STH 11, New Diggings Township for a traffic complaint. 

● 9:59 PM Hasmukhbhai N. Patel, 58, Westby reported striking a deer on USH 151, Belmont Township. Patel’s 2022 Hyundai received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 11:23 PM A deputy responded to East ST, City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with a check welfare. 

On June 20:

● 1:48 AM Argyle EMS responded to Mill St, Village of Argyle for a medical emergency.

● 1:53 AM Deputies responded to STH 11, Wayne Township for a domestic dispute.

● 2:42 AM Lafayette County EMS responded to W River St, City of Darlington for a medical emergency.

● 3:12 AM A deputy responded to CTH D, Wayne Township for a traffic hazard. 

● 10:45 AM Deputies responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for a two vehicle accident.  Shullsburg Fire and Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene.

● 11:08 AM Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to W Main St, Village of Benton for a medical emergency. 

● 4:31 PM A deputy responded to Miner Way, City of Shullsburg for an animal injured on the roadway.

● 5:02 PM Deputies responded to CTH Y, Argyle Township for a civil dispute. 

● 6:33 PM A deputy responded to STH 23, Darlington Township for an animal injured on the roadway.

● 8:30 PM A deputy responded to First St, Village of Argyle for a 911 misdial.

● 8:39 PM A deputy responded to STH 23, Darlington Township for a check welfare. 

● 8:49 PM A deputy responded to CTH F, Darlington Township for a check welfare. Darlington Police Department assisted on scene.

● 9:17 PM Daniel J Belanger, 17, reported striking a deer on Ballard Rd, Willow Springs Township. Belanger’s 2017 Chrysler received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 11:12 PM A deputy responded to W Mound Rd, Belmont Township for a suspicious vehicle. 

On June 21:

● 1:14 AM A deputy responded to STH 81, Darlington Township for a check welfare.

● 2:29 AM A deputy responded to Main St, City of Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a suspicious activity complaint. 

● 7:33 AM A deputy responded to Dunbarton Rd, Shullsburg Township for a traffic hazard.

● 7:51 AM A deputy responded to School St, Village of Gratiot to assist with a vehicle unlock.

● 1:16 PM Deputies responded to CTH U, Shullsburg Township for a check welfare.   Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene.

● 1:18 PM A deputy responded to STH 81, Argyle Township for an animal injured in the roadway. 


Monticello Police

On June 24:

● At approximately 4:18 p.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a code violation, grass excessive in length, in the 100 block of N. Main Street.  The owner was contacted and the matter was resolved. 

● At approximately 6:15 p.m., Officers received a parking complaint in the 200 block of S. Pierce Street.  The vehicles owner was contacted.  The vehicle was moved and parked in legal manner. 

● At approximately 6:24 p.m., Officers received a hazard complaint in the 300 block of N. Pratt Road.  It was reported that an orange construction barrel had been moved and was not warning drivers of a man hole cover opening.  Officers responded and put the barrel back in its original location to warn drivers of the hazard. 

● At approximately 7:50 p.m., Officers received a report of a parking complaint in the 300 block of E. Highland Avenue.  Officers contacted the owner who had resolved the matter. 

On June 27:

● At approximately 2:43 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of S. Monroe Street for a code violation.  The matter was resolved a short time later.

On June 30:

● At approximately 4:55 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in in the area of State Hwy 69 and W. Coates Avenue for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the traffic stop Rhett M. Katzenberger, 25,Monroe was cited for Illegal Window Tinting.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 5:42 p.m., Officers were contacted by a resident in reference to a set of keys that were found laying on the ground in the area of W. Coates Avenue and Washington Street.  The keys were placed into found property.   

● At approximately 10:49 a.m., Officers were contacted by a citizen in reference to fraudulent emails they had received.   The emails appeared to be from Amazon and Pay Pal.  The emails were indeed fraudulent.

● At approximately 1:20 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of State Hwy 69 for a reported Disorderly Conduct incident.  Statements were obtained from multiple witnesses.  The incident is under investigation

On July 1:

● At approximately 8:16 a.m., Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Main Street for a reported criminal damage to property incident.  Several piece of construction equipment had been damaged in the area.  Suspects have been identified.  The incident is under investigation. 

● At approximately 1:32 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of N. Main Street for suspicious activity. The investigation is ongoing.

● At approximately 7:15 p.m., Officers found a cell phone laying in the roadway in the area of E. Lake Avenue and S. Madison Street.  The cell phone was returned to the owner.

On July 2:

● At approximately 4:27 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the area of Main Street and E. Lake Avenue for a barking dog complaint.  The dog’s owner was contacted and the matter was resolved.

On July 6:

● At approximately 8:00 a.m., Officers conducted traffic control on State Hwy 69 at W. Coates Avenue for Monticello Fire First Response who were responding to an emergency medical call in the township.  

● At approximately 8:08 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of E. Lake Avenue for an observed traffic violation of driving through water on a road closed due to flooding.  As a result of the traffic stop Jacob T. Trumpy-Stumlin, 21, Monticello was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Sign, Illegal Window Tinting and Operating a motor vehicle with a  suspended driver’s license.   There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 3:15 p.m., Officers received a complaint of a subject doing door to door sales in the 200 block of N. Main Street.  Officers located and made contact with the subject.  The subject went to the village hall, filled out the necessary paperwork, a background check was conducted,  and was issued a permit.  

● At approximately 8:36 p.m., Officers responded to the 400 block of Summit Avenue for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

● At approximately 11:23 p.m., Officers responded to the area of the municipal lot for fireworks being lit off.  Contact was made and the fireworks ceased.   

On July 7:

● At approximately 4:55 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of State Hwy 69 and W. Coates Avenue for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the traffic stop Rhett M.
