Brodhead Police

On Oct. 30:

● 8:46 a.m. Police responded to the 700 block of E 5th Ave. for the report of a Domestic Problem; subjects involved in a verbal alteration. Contact was made and the matter was resolved. 

● 10:30 p.m., Police responded to the 2000 block of W 6th Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; threatening messages being received. This matter remains under investigation.

● 10:40 p.m., Police responded to the 700 block of Green St. for the report of a Code Violation; illegal dumping.Contact was made and it was determined the subject had permission to place items in the dumpster on this property. 

On Oct. 31:

● 1:23 p.m., Police responded to the 800 block of 10th St. for a Traffic Crash; a vehicle drove over a retaining wall. No citations were issued as this was determined to be a non-reportable crash. 

● 5:11 p.m., Police responded to the 1400 block of W 6th Ave. for a Traffic Crash. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 6:31 p.m., Police responded to the 700 block of E Exchange St. for an ATV Violation; underage persons in a trailer pulled by an ATV. Contact was made and a warning was issued.

● 7:10 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St. for the report of Damage to Property; a vehicle and residence were “egged”. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 7:55 p.m., a 40 year old Orfordville man was cited in the 1000 block of 19th St. for Disorderly Conduct. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

On Oct. 8:

● 2:54 a.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to Hillside CT in the City for a medical emergency.

● 8:06 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH C, Willow Springs Township for a 911 misdial.

● 11:12 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a vehicle unlock.

● 1:19 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH D, Lamont Township for a 911 misdial.

● 2:42 p.m. Gratiot Fire and First Response and Green County EMS responded to the Cheese Country Trail, Gratiot Township for a dirt bike accident. John H Kinney, JR, 62, Cary, IL was traveling south on the trail on his 2010 Yamaha when he lost control. Kinney denied EMS, but was transported by private vehicle and his bike was removed from the scene with no damage.

● 3:48 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township for a traffic complaint.

● 5:50 p.m. Kelsie M Budde, 14, Dubuque, IA was cited for Speeding and Operating without a Valid Driver’s License on CTH W, White Oak Springs Township.

● 6:54 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for check welfare.

● 8:52 p.m. Patrick A Grate, 30, Orfordville was cited for Speeding on CTH KK, Gratiot Township.

● 9:01 p.m. A deputy responded to Lake RD, Fayette Township for a noise complaint.

● 9:54 p.m. Deputies responded to S McKnight ST in the Village of South Wayne for a domestic dispute.

On Oct. 9:

● 7:12 a.m. A deputy responded to Old Q RD, Argyle Township for found property.

● 7:44 a.m. A deputy responded to Jordan/Wiota RD, Wiota Township for 911 misdial.

● 12:52 p.m. Kyle C Lyne, 29, Blue Mounds was cited for Speeding on STH 23, Darlington Township.

● 1:40 p.m. A deputy responded to Lacey RD, Wayne Township for an animal problem.

● 1:51 p.m. A deputy responded to S Park ST in the Village of Belmont for a 911 misdial.

● 2:16 p.m. Argyle EMS responded to Elm ST in the Village for a medical emergency.

● 2:33 p.m. Daniel J Klein, 33, Belmont was cited for Speeding on CTH XX, Belmont Township.

● 3:38 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to STH 81, Darlington Township for a medical emergency. Darlington Police and a deputy assisted on scene.

● 8:42 p.m. Belmont EMS responded to CTH Z, Kendall Township for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

On Oct. 10:

● 6:17 a.m. A deputy responded to W Mound Rd, Belmont Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 12:10 p.m. Justin W Young, 35, Argyle was arrested on a Probation and Parole violation ON CTH K, City of Darlington. Young was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. 

● 1:05 p.m. Edwin Martinez-Perea, 19, Darlington was arrested by Rock County on a Probation and Parole Violation and was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. 

● 4:10 p.m. A deputy responded to S Kennedy St, City of Shullsburg for a check welfare. 

● 5:09 p.m. Lawrence M Whitcher, 53, Platteville was arrested for Operating while Revoked on W Platteville Av, Village of Belmont. Whitcher was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released on a signature bond. 

● 5:45 p.m. Deputies responded to Meylor Ln, Darlington Township for an ATV accident. Daniel A Veneklase, 30, Grand Rapids MI was operating an  ATV when he drove off the road putting the ATV in the ditch. There was minor damage to the ATV and no injuries were reported. 

● 6:46 p.m. A deputy responded to Woodberry Rd, Town of Willow Springs for livestock on the roadway. 

● 8:08 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a traffic complaint. 

On Oct. 11:

● 12:07 a.m. Jose O Montenegro-Lopez, 22, Platteville was cited for Operating without a Valid License and Speeding on E Platteville Av, City of Belmont.

● 1:27 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH C, Willow Springs Township for livestock on the roadway. 

● 2:17 a.m. Blanchardville Fire and EMS responded to Maple St, Village of Blanchardville for a commercial fire alarm. A deputy assisted on scene. 

● 4:52 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 23, Willow Springs Township for an animal injured in the roadway.  Darlington Police Department assisted on scene. 

● 6:25 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH E, Shullsburg Township for livestock on the roadway. 

● 7:04 a.m. Michael E Berg, 65, Blanchardville reported striking a deer on Old Q Rd, Blanchard Township. Berg’s 2016 Honda received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 9:13 a.m. a deputy responded to STH 81, Town of Darlington for a theft complaint. 

● 11:05 a.m. a deputy responded to Whaley Ct, Village of Benton for a check welfare. 

● 11:19 a.m. a deputy responded to Faymont Rd, Darlington Township for a check welfare. 

● 2:52 p.m. The Darlington Fire Department HazMat team assisted Jo Daviess County in Savannah IL with a chemical spill.


Monroe Police

On Oct 24:

● At approximately 10:54 a.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a dog that was found running at large.  It was found that the dog was outside of the Village of New Glarus.  The caller was referred to the sheriff’s Office.  

● At approximately 12:19 p.m., Officers assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office within the Village with an investigation.  

On Oct 25:

● At approximately 10:41 a.m., Officers received a traffic complaint of jake braking in the area of E. Lake Avenue and S. Pierce Street.  The offending vehicles owner was contacted and the matter was resolved. 

● At approximately 6:42 p.m., Officers assisted a citizen who had locked their keys inside their vehicle.  A spare key was retrieved to unlock the vehicle.
