Lisette "Liz" R. Dybevik, age 79 of Brodhead, died unexpectedly Friday, February 7, 2014 at her home with her loving husband, Stan, at her side. She was born on April 30, 1934 in Monroe, WI; the daughter of Nicholas and Lisette (Rudowski) Rieder. She graduated from Brodhead High School in 1952 and attended Madison Business College. She married Stan on August 27, 1955 in Brodhead. She worked for a Madison Law firm for several years, then as a ward secretary for the VA Hospital in Madison. Liz also did the bookwork for the family businesses that included: Dybevik Nursery and Landscaping, Christmas tree sales and camping trailer rentals and sales.
She belonged to a women's church circle, the EverReady Club and was a former 4-H leader. Liz traveled and attended many Rock Energy Co-op meetings for the Rural Utility Service with Stan. She had a love of animals; pets and wildlife. She enjoyed growing flowers, the holidays with family and bowling with friends. She enjoyed following politics and current events. Liz lived life with joy and a twinkle in her eye, She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Stan, of Brodhead; son, Tim (Katie) Dybevik of Madison; daughters, Julie Dybevik of Brodhead, and Maria (Dave Skripka) Dybevik of Oregon, WI; 6 grandchildren: Andrew, Robin and Joey Dybevik and Ava, twins Alex and Amanda Skripka; a brother, Nick (Kelly) Rieder of Huntington Beach, CA; brother-in-law, Bjarne Breilid of Madison; cousin, Robert (Nancy) Wendt of Downers Grove, IL; and five nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Brodhead. Burial will be in Orfordville Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be Tuesday, from 10:00 am until the time of service, at the Church. Everson Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Liz's honor to Rock County Humane Society or the Evansville Manor.
