MONONA - Lindsey David Bestor, 54, Monona, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Davenport, Iowa on May 12, 1958, the oldest son of David R. and Elizabeth Bestor. He grew up primarily in Madison, Wis., graduating from West High School in 1976. He later graduated from Madison Area Technical College in the printing and publishing program. He worked at Gardner Bakery for many years, then was employed at The Monroe Times and Capitol Newspapers in Madison.

Lindsey was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as reading and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth, Monroe, Wis.; sisters Susan (Pat) Stewart, Rockford, and Mary Jane (John) Grenzow, Monroe; nephews Andrew Bestor, Leavenworth, Kansas, and Bennett Stewart, Rockford; and nieces Shelbie Bestor, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Catherine Stewart, Rockford; and Elizabeth, Sally and Christina Grenzow, Monroe. He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, J. Andrew Bestor, in 1996, and his father David in 2011.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison.
