JUDA - Lillian M. Buholzer, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2008 at Monroe Clinic Hospital.

She was born November 10, 1917 in Monroe, the daughter of Peter and Emma (Amacher) Ruef. She married Fred E. Buholzer February 14, 1939 in St. Victor's Rectory, Monroe. Fred died in June 1991. Lillian was a graduate of Juda High School and attended Juda Zion United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Women's Guild, Royal Neighbors, and the Juda Senior Citizens. She and her husband were cheesemakers for many years in Green County. After retiring from making cheese they delivered the Monroe Evening Times. Lillian was loved by everyone, and enjoyed helping others. She was fond of gardening, playing cards, Yahtzee and Bingo, going to feather parties, and visiting casinos. Door County and Warrens Cranberry Fest were also loved by Lillian. She is survived by her children, Roger (Linda) Buholzer; Donna Lee, Peter Buholzer, and Kathy Buholzer, all of Juda; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, a daughter-in-law, granddaughter in infancy, and a grandson-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the D. L. Newcomer Funeral Home, Brodhead, with Reverend Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. A memorial is being established in Lillian's name.
