WEST BEND/OJIBWA/NAPLES, Fla. - Lawaine "Sis" Marie Rudnicki passed away with family by her side in Madison, WI on Sunday, March 1, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sis was born on March 11, 1939 in Monroe, WI to Edward and Genevieve (Clements) Foley. After graduating high school, she moved to Madison, WI where she attended beauty school and met her husband. On April 23, 1960 she married Gene Rudnicki at St. Victor's Catholic Church in Monroe, WI. Gene & Sis shared fifty-five wonderful years together raising a family that included five children and eleven grandchildren. After the birth of her first child, Sis ended her career as a beautician and became a busy homemaker, taking great pride in raising her children in a beautiful and tidy home in West Bend, WI where she and Gene lived for thirty years. For the past seventeen years, they have spent their summers "up north" in Ojibwa, WI and winters in sunny Naples, FL. They have made many cherished memories with their close friends in each of their homesteads who will miss Sis dearly.

Sis loved spending time with her grandchildren, going on cruises, winning big at the casino, playing cards, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and the Chicago Bears. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, skilled cooking, and her devotion to family and the Catholic Faith.

She is survived by husband, Eugene "Gene" Rudnicki; 5 children Connetta (Steve) Fallon of Rockton, IL, Patrick (Karin) of Madison, WI, Eugene (Sheri) of South Beloit, IL, Rebecca (John) Lord of Neenah, WI and Mark (Tracy) Rudnicki of Sun Prairie, WI; 11 grandchildren, Arthur Fallon, Heather and Amie Rudnicki, Jacob, Joshua and Justin Rudnicki, Erika, Erin and Natalie Lord, and Jessica and Benjamin Rudnicki; one brother Eugene (Jane) Foley of Plano, TX; a very special aunt, Mae Behnke of Wauwatosa, WI and many dear cousins, nieces/nephews and extended relatives, all of whom brought great joy to Sis's life.

Sis was preceded in death by her parents.

The Rudnicki family would like to thank Sis's doctors and nurses for their dedication and care, as well as the many people near and far who have kept Sis in their prayers.

We will miss her every day. We wish we had more time with her, but are brought great comfort knowing she has found peace with our heavenly Father.
