LaVonne J. Cleaveland, age 64, of Monroe, Wisconsin died Friday, January 8, 2016 at her home. She was born April 21, 1951 in Monroe, the daughter of E. Roy and Lucille (Holcomb) Hess and graduate from Monroe High School in 1970.

LaVonne married Dennis Cleaveland January 15, 1972 at Washington Reformation Church, rural Monticello, WI. She worked at the Hallmark Store, The Swiss Colony, and did In Home Day Care in Monroe. LaVonne was a member of Washington Reformation Church, Women of the Moose Chapter #599, and Zilmer Riley American Legion Auxiliary Unit #84 in Monroe.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis Cleaveland of Monroe; daughters, Brenda (Jeremy) Rowe of Monroe & Angie (James) Damon of Brooklyn; son, Scott Cleaveland of Madison; brother, Wayne (Monda) Hess of Monroe; grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa, McKenzie, Brooke, Tyler, Kayla, & Alex; grand-dog, Zeus; and numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her Parents; sisters, Linda Hess & Arlene Hillcoat; grandparents, Clarence & Sophia Holcomb; and in-laws, Charles & Berneice Cleaveland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Washington Reformation Church rural Monticello, WI with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe and after 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Wednesday at the Church.
