Larry William Marti, age 64, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Monroe Hospital. He was born on June 22 1946 the son of Donald W. and Lucille (Martin) Marti. Larry married Sharon Trumpy on June 15, 1984 at the Zwingli United Church in Monticello. He owned and operated C & M Concrete company in Albany for several years retiring due to health reasons in 2000. Larry was a huge Elvis fan collecting all kinds of memorabilia. He enjoyed mowing the lawn, going gambling and going out to eat breakfast. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and he loved his dog Charlie like one of the children. He was a very caring and compassionate person and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 26 years, his children Larry "Scott" (Mary) Marti, Jon (Maria) Marti, Heather (Rich) Deininger, Kristi (Chris Pickett) Marti, Richard (Kate Kubly) Marti, Kimberly (Luke) Schraufnagel and Paul (Natalie Norris) Marti, four sisters Emogene (Donald) Robieson, Diane (Wayne) Rosensteil, Renee (Richard) Meier and Karen (Delbert) Potter, grandchildren Alexis, Eric, Alaina, Diante', Brett, Blake, Cyndee, Jonathan, Christina, Justin, Tyson, Jessica, Kailey, Jacob, Evan, Cassidee, Cayden and Audrianna, great grandchildren Ava, Andre and Avalyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Allan Pluss. Private funeral services were held on Saturday November 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ward Funeral Home in Evansville with Reverend Pat Soddy officiating. Burial followed in Maple Hill cemetery Evansville. "The Greatest gift I ever had came as a gift from God; I call him Dad!"
