LaDue W. Dewey Rowin age 83 of Albany, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 24, 2011. He was born on October 6, 1927 in Wonewoc, WI the son of Naman and May (Everson) Rowin.
LaDue and Vivian Lee were married on October 31, 1958 in Benton, WI. Dewey served in the U.S. Navy, worked for Besley Wells Corp in South Beloit, IL, then took a position with the University Dept. of Police & Security in Madison, WI where he retired as Supervisor of Security in 1989. He then was at home helping his wife run the Golden Aire Rest Home for the elderly. Dewey loved to be around family & friends and had a great passion for gardening & fishing. He also loved his trips to California & Texas.
Surviving are his wife, Vivian of Albany, WI; daughter, Karen (Don) Zantow of Verona, WI; grandchildren, Odessa Zantow of Evansville, WI, Don, Jr. (Christina Stulka) Zantow of Verona, WI, & Shawnna (Mitch Webber) Zantow of Randolph, WI; the apple of his eyes - his great-grandson, Dawson; sisters, Veda Harwood of Lone Rock, WI, Myrna (Bernard) West of Wellsboro, PA, & Linette (Erling) Martinsen of Alma Center, WI; brother-in-law, Thomas Haney of Lancaster, CA; and numerous Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; brother in infancy; sisters, Wynona Haney & Hazel Shaker; and brothers-in-law, Ivan Harwood & Bernard Shaker.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe, WI and from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Haudenshield Funeral Home in Cuba City, WI.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Haudenshield Funeral Home in Cuba City, WI with burial in Carr Cemetery at Cuba City, WI.
