Kenneth (Ken) Erwin Wiesenberg

On June 10, 2014 Kenneth (Ken) Erwin Wiesenberg passed away at home at the age of 80, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Monroe, Wisconsin on March 7, 1934 to Ervin and Martha (Kline) Wiesenberg. He attended school in Monroe and went on to work at Monroe Ready Mix/Green Valley Ready Mix, Inc. He worked there for nearly 50 years before retiring. Ken married Mary F. Walters in 1953 and the two raised five children together. Ken's motivation in life was always for his family. After his retirement he continued to work at his son's company, Preferred Transit, Inc. for many years. He also was a life-long animal lover and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, sons, Kim (Peggy) Wiesenberg, Keith (Vicki) Wieseneberg, and Kerry Wiesenberg; daughter, Tammy (Allen) Haring all of Monroe. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, brothers, Nate (Penny) Wiesenberg, Jerry (Janet) Wiesenberg, and Richard Wiesenberg; as well as many nephews, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Pamela (Faessler), grandson Daniel Haring, sister Delores Myers, brother Erwin, Jr., and his parents.

In addition, he always had a spot in his heart for his many dogs over the years. His family will remember him best as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
