BRODHEAD - Kathryn D. Olin, age 65, of Brodhead, died on Sunday, September 19, 2010, due to an automobile accident near South Wayne, WI. She born on January 23, 1945 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Nathan and Alice (Wichelt) Schoepfer. She married Richard G. Olin on October 14, 1966 at St. John's Church, Monroe, WI. Kathy, for many years, baby-sat numerous children in the Brodhead area. She loved gaming and going on vacations. Her biggest love was her family, but most importantly, her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Richard, three daughters, Christy (Todd Kraus) Barnes, Jefferson, WI, Michelle (Glenn) Marquette, Dawn (Chad) Dix, both of Brodhead, a brother, Nathan (Deb) Schoepfer, Evansville, WI, and five grandchildren, Chase Barnes, Malachi and Samantha Marquette, Abbie and Jordan Dix. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in-law, Ernest Wenger, and her sister, Carol Wenger.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the United Methodist Church, Brodhead, with Rev. Steve Groves officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD.
