Joyce V. Mauerman age 89 of Albany, Wisconsin, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at her home. She was born March 19, 1922 in Albany the daughter of Carl Emil and Doris (Gillette) Steindorf and graduated from Albany High School in 1940.
Joyce married Gordon H. Mauerman on April 17, 1943 at Albany Methodist Church. Joyce worked at The Swiss Colony, Hein & Francis Grocery Store, & for over 25 years was Custodian at Albany Methodist Church. She was a member of Albany United Methodist Church & church circles and McDermott Steindorf American Legion Post #144 Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Jerry (Carol Coon) Mauerman of West Des Moines, IA, Judith (Allen Rodenberg) Prisk of Albany, James Mauerman of Albany, Jon (Cindy) Mauerman of Albany, & Jeffery (Cassandra) Mauerman of Albany; brother, Carl Roger (Kay) Steindorf of Fernandina Beach, FL; 14 Grandchildren; 13 Great-grandchildren; and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Parents; Husband; brother, Charles Gordon Steindorf; and sister, Jean Mae Burdick.
Joyce especially enjoyed time with her family & family get-togethers at her home. The family wishes to express a big 'Thank You' to Monroe Clinic Hospice & Wood's Crossing for their great care.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Albany United Methodist Church with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until time of service at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the church.
A Memorial Fund is being established in Joyce's memory.
