John T. Krebs, Sr., age 88, of New Lisbon, formerly of Monroe, died on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. He was born on December 21, 1921, the son of Rudolph and Rose (Vogel) Krebs. John attended Watson school. He was a dairy and beef farmer for many years.
He is survived by his children, Jim Krebs of Monroe, Rev. Kay Krebs of Bailey, Colorado, Carol (Terry) Pribbenow of Columbus; grandchildren, Brett (Missy) Pribbenow, of Waupun, WI and Dr. Bridget (Jon Stinemetz) Pribbenow, of Madison; great-grandsons: Dylan and Derek Pribbenow; sister, Neva Bartelt of Winslow, IL; also several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by, son, John Jr., brothers, Fred and Rudy and his twin sister, Elizabeth; other sisters: Ruth, Irene and Helen.
Per John's wishes, graveside services will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery. Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is serving the family. The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Eric Heaney of Mauston.
