John M. Gobeli, age 68, of Woodford, died on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on March 16, 1946 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of John and Melvia (Kline) Gobeli and was a 1964 graduate of Monroe High School.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 -1969 in Military Intelligence.
John and Sandra L. Wyssbrod were married on February 29th, 1980 at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.
John was owner of Rural Roofing of Woodford.
John was a member of the Martintown Community Church and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Woodford, sons, Kiel (Kristie) Gobeli of Broomfield, CO; Bill (Aimee) Gobeli of Greenville, SC; John (Janelle) Gobeli of Monroe; daughter, Sarah Gobeli of Madison; brothers, Ivan (Marlene) Gobeli of Monroe; Walter (Nellie) Gobeli of Ava, MO; Jim (Judy) Gobeli of Argyle; sister, Wanda Kline of Monroe; and 9 grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Melvia, and brother, Wendell.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Town Community Church with Pastor Kevin Cernek officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 6th from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., N. 18th Ave., in Monroe.
