John E. Minder, age 93 of Browntown, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 31, 1923 in Browntown, the son of John and Marie (Burke) Minder. John married Suzanne Goodman on June 22, 1947 in Browntown. He was a dairy farmer and enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, softball and bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Browntown; 5 children: Michael (Janet) Minder of Browntown, Dawn (Dale) Hoesly of Monroe, Dian (Jayson) Storts of Madison, Michele (Craig) Meiter of Stillman Valley, IL, and David (Kathy) Minder of Browntown; 13 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Albert, Fritz and Walt; 2 sisters: Emma Gutzmer and Alice Minder.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor Lowell Stuessy officiating. Burial will be in Saucerman Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in John's memory to Boys Town.
