LENA - Jewel E. Quinn-Hagen, age 79, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at her son's home. She was born on November 22, 1929 to Clarence and Florence (Miller) Jordan in McConnell, IL. She married Vincent Quinn on January 18, 1947 at St. Victor's Catholic Church in Monroe, WI. He preceded her in death in 1974. She married Earl Hagen on May 17, 1985 at St. Victor's Catholic Church in Monroe, WI. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1998.

She was employed at Micro Switch for 30 years until retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, gardening and especially get-togethers with family. Jewel's favorite pets were Ginger and Bud.

Jewel is survived by 7 children: Margaret Knoup of Pecatonica, IL, Rita (Glen) Hille of Stockton, IL, James (Peggy) Quinn of Lena, IL, Catherine (Tim) Hoefle of Freeport, IL, Timothy (Linda) Quinn of Lena, IL, Judith (David) Eckerman of South Wayne, WI and Lori (John) Connolly of Dyersville, IA; 23 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; three stepchildren: Michael (Debby) Hagen of Blanchardville, WI, Mary Kay (Delvin) Mau of South Wayne, WI and Shirley (Karlen) Johnson of Gratiot, WI; five brothers and sisters: Dorothy Merchant of Lena, IL, Maynard Jordan of Lena, IL, Larry (Shirley) Jordan of Madison, WI, Linda (Edward) Knoup of Freeport, IL and Gary (Cathy) Jordan of Lena, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; one grandson, Jonathan Quinn; three brothers, Roger, Leland and Virgil Jordan; one stepdaughter, Diane Bredson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena. A rosary will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lena, IL.

Officiating will be Father Max Streidl.
