Jerry V. Thomm, age 89, of Monroe, died on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Caring Hands in Brodhead. He was born on September 4, 1926 on the family farm in Monroe Township, the son of Vincent and Frieda (Benkert) Thomm.

Jerry and Joyce Staver were married on August 11, 1946 in Emmanuel Evangelical Church.

Jerry farmed on the family farm for many years, and later worked for Crandall Oil Company, Sieg Auto Parts, drove cars for different dealers in the area and worked at the Idle Hour Mansion. He was a member of St John's United Church of Christ, Monroe Optimist Club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754 and Jolly Switzers Band which he was co-founder of.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, of Monroe; children, Jeff (Rhonda) Thomm of Monroe, Ron (Ginger) Thomm of Monroe, Jill (Franz) Niederberger of Pine River, Chris (Richard) Gratz of Monroe; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his Parents; and grandson, Paul Niederberger.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. John's United Church of Christ at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tiff Bates officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2nd, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME in Monroe.
