FREEPORT, Ill. - Jennie K. Lamm, 92, of Freeport, died on Friday Jan. 1, 2010 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, where she has resided for the last three years.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1917 in Shannon, IL, the daughter of German immigrants Alfred and Klasina (Klinger) Williams. She married Louis Lamm on Feb. 25, 1941 at St. Joseph's Rectory in Freeport.

Jennie and her late husband farmed all of their married life on the same farm south of Freeport. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

She was a charter member of the Stephenson County Antique Engine Club and was Queen of the 1977 Antique Engine Show.

Surviving are two daughters: Judith (Donald) Schild of Argyle, WI, and Barbara Lamm of Laurel, MD; two grandchildren: Leland (Melody) Schild of Argyle, and Jacqueline Siegel of Monroe: seven great-grandchildren: Andrew Schild of Argyle, Samantha, Nathan, Nicholas, Matthew, Sabrina, and Micheal Siegel, all of Monroe. Also surviving is her brother: Robert (Donna) Williams of Leaf River; her sisters-in-law: Sally Williams of Rockford, Gloria Williams of Pecatonica, Mary Ellen Kohlbauer of Freeport, Florence Lamm of Freeport; her brothers-in-law: Robert (Mary ) Lamm of Freeport, and Joe (Ilene) Lamm of Stockton. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband on March 1, 1996, five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father David Wanish officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. at the church until time of service. A memorial has been established in her memory. Arrangements by Schwarz Funeral Home.
