Jeanette M. Lane, age 82, of Monroe, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on May 23, 1932 in Monroe, the daughter of Thomas and Bessie (Kading) Peterson and was a graduate of South Wayne High School.

Jeanette and Richard Lane were married on January 30, 1951 on the coldest day recorded in South Wayne.

Jeanette was owner and operator of the Electrolysis Center until retiring in 1996.

Jeanette was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church. She was a very caring and loving soul who enjoyed taking care of others and making people laugh.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle (John) Strosin of Madison; Pamela (Scott) Breach of Austin, TX; grandchildren: Daniel and Megan Dwyer both of Madison; Emily and Lauren Breach both of Austin TX; brother, Roger (Rita) Peterson of Port Byron, IL; brothers-in-law, Harry Olson and Donald (Barb) Lane of Monroe; sister-in-law, Saisamorn Lane of Monroe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, a special friend, Shirley Denure and countless other friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Bessie; husband, Richard; brothers, Arthur and Wayne Peterson; sister, Ruth Olson; and nephew, Ricky Olson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Fr. Larry Bakke Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 9th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr. and N. 18th Ave. in Monroe.

A memorial fund is being established in Jeanette's memory.
