Jarrett Lee Floyd Ostrander, age 16 of Monroe, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. Jarrett was born May 13, 1999 in Monroe, the son of Richard A. and Tina M. (Naef) Ostrander. Jarrett's passion in life was fishing and hunting. He cherished the time spent with his dad on the water or in the woods. He loved spending time with his mom, sister, extended family and friends. Jarrett had been working part time at Leo Agriculture in Monroe.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Rick and Tina Ostrander; a sister, Tiffany (Jon) Alt; maternal grandparents, Roy (Alice) Naef, all of Monroe; two uncles, Larry (Susan) Ostrander of Littleton, MA, and Gordon (Julie) Ostrander of Monroe; an aunt, Cindy (Tim) Engle of Monroe; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Gertrude Ostrander; and an aunt, Sharon Ostrander.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 12:00 p.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Reverend Todd Hackman of St. John's United Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in Jarrett's name.
