Janet Marie Anderson, age 83, of Prairie du Sac, WI, died peacefully at Maplewood Nursing home on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Janet was born to Andrew Nicholas and Hannah Marie (Hanson) Anderson on October 7th, 1931 in Monroe, Wisconsin. She was the "baby" of a very large farming family. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling the country, playing both golf and tennis, and loved to cut a rug with her siblings to her nephew Greg Anderson's polka band.
Survivors include her two daughters, Robin (Rafe) Miller of Roxbury and Lori Lukens of Middleton; two granddaughters, Rachel (Kraig) Heinzman and Natalie (Brandon Wolf) Miller; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nine brothers: Franklin, Charles, Morgan, Charles "Norman", Floyd, Harry, Robert, James, and Gene Anderson; and four sisters, Alice Mani, Ruth Krebs, Esther Stelter, and Nora Rubi.
At her request, there will be no funeral service and the graveside service will be private for the immediate family. Hooverson Funeral Home in Sauk City is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.hooversonfuneralhomes.com.
