James L. Stauffacher, age 66, of Sylmar, California, formerly of Monroe, passed away on December 24, 2017 at UCLA Hospital in Santa Monica, California. Jim was born in Monroe on December 6, 1951 to Kenneth and Gertrude (Koehner) Stauffacher. He attended Monroe schools and graduated from Monroe High School in 1970. he worked for a time at Gibbons Burner Service in Monroe before moving to California in the 1980's where he began his career in computer and visual arts field eventually becoming a Network Manager at Primary Color in the Long Beach area. Jim loved golf and belonged to the California Bluebird society and loved to watch the many hummingbirds in his back yard.

Jim is survived by a sister Linda (Larry) Davis of Brodhead, two brothers, Robert (Trudi) Stauffacher of Monroe and Richard (Debbie) Boyer of Juda and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother Hazel Koehner who raised him after his parents death, a brother Roger in 1948 and a niece Michelle Boyer. Per Jim's request no services will be held.
