MONTICELLO/NEW GLARUS - James Edward Curry, age 43, of Monticello, died after a sudden illness on March 20, 2009 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. A kind man with a wry sense of humor, Jim will be greatly missed by all who loved him: from school kids he tutored to his own daughters, Jennifer and Emily, and wife Laura, lifetime partner for 22 years. Jim embraced carpentry and other crafts and was patiently restoring their vintage house. He based his refinishing and caning business there so he could be a stay-at-home dad, the role he relished most. Jim's six siblings and many friends saw in him a worthy model of family love and devotion. He joins his parents and one sibling in the Life to come.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 506 12th Ave., New Glarus, WI with the Rev. Gene Talley officiating.
