BRODHEAD - Jack E. McKinney, age 82, of Brodhead, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Manor, Footville, WI. He was born on April 16, 1932 in Brodhead, the son of Wayne and Doris (Bernstein) McKinney.

Jack had worked on the medium duty truck line for General Motors of Janesville from 1963 to 1993 and was a member of the Local UAW #95. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. Jack enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers, taking Sunday afternoon drives, and being with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his former wife Betty, Brodhead; his children, Dennis (Shannon) McKinney, Los Angeles, CA, Kathy McKinney, Beloit, WI, Teresa (Frank) Mikos, Crystal River, FL, Kimberly (Rodney Patnoe) Johnson, Janesville, WI, Lisa (Alan Melin) McKinney, Luck, WI; two brothers, George and Donald (Shirley) McKinney; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Wayne "Mac" McKinney Jr., Richard "Dunk" McKinney and William "Bill" McKinney.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, with Pastor Scott Whiting officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, with full military rites. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.
