Mrs. Helen Ida Sholts, age 79, of Belleville, WI, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 in Mission, Texas.
Helen was born November 1, 1928, in Monroe, WI, the daughter of John and Ida Zurkirchen. She graduated from New Glarus High School. On December 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Robert Sholts in New Glarus. Helen was employed by the Bank of New Glarus and the Bank of Brooklyn before becoming a cosmetologist. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Belleville.
Survivors: her husband, Robert, Belleville; a daughter, Marilyn (Dave) Bollig of Belleville; her special grandson, Tyler Bollig; and two sisters, Ruthie Zurkirchen of New Glarus and Millie Zinnecker of Rockton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her son, Steve; two brothers, Ed and Robert Zurkirchen; and her parents.
Private services will be held in Texas.
A memorial fund has been established for the First United Church of Christ, 130 Church St., Belleville, WI, and Hospice Care Inc.
