MONROE - Police arrested a Monroe man Monday after investigating a report that he was inappropriate with another man.

Maynard F. Heins, 66, was charged with disorderly conduct, then released pending court.

According to police, Heins made inappropriate comments to an 18-year-old man while the two were working together in the basement of a home in the 1700 block of 19th Street on Friday, March 15. He also allegedly touched the teen inappropriately.

The 18-year-old reported the alleged behavior at about 2:30 p.m. Friday.

The men are acquainted but not related, according to Chief of Police Fred Kelley.

State court records show no prior record for Heins. The current charges against him had not yet been filed with the Green County Circuit Court as of Monday afternoon.
