Heidi (Koch) Lacy, age 57 of Madison, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at Agrace Hospice. Heidi was born on Sept. 8, 1959 in Chicago, IL to Hans and Inge Koch. She was a 1977 graduate of Monroe High School, Monroe, WI.On June 4, 1983, she married the love of her life, John Lacy. While living in Monroe, she was employed by Swiss Colony Bakery until 1985 when she opened her in-home licensed daycare. In 1995, Heidi and John and their two sons moved to Madison, WI. She was Office Manager for Retirement Resources, LLP, the company co-founded by her husband.

Heidi most loved spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. Many of those special memories and fun times were made during her and John's 27 years at their permanent campsite at Indian Trails Campground in Pardeeville, WI. Heidi also loved going to UW Badger hockey and football games and of course watching the Packers.

Heidi was a fierce advocate for many social issues dear to her heart, and enjoyed volunteering for many organizations.

Heidi is survived by her best friend and husband, John, son Matthew (Kimberly) Lacy and their children Brynn and Gavin, and son Kyle (Vinh Truong) Lacy. She is also survived by her brother Pete (Diane) Koch and their children Jacob and Lucas; sister Monica (Brian) Schinderle and their children Wil, Abby, and Nate; sister-in-law Sharon (Wayne McCartney) Lacy. Heidi is preceded in death by her loving parents.

Per Heidi's wishes, instead of a funeral, there is a celebration of life gathering for family and friends on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Delaney's, 449 Grand Canyon Dr, Madison, WI 53719.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heidi Lacy Memorial Fund, c/o Pete Koch, 2615 13th Ave, Monroe, WI, 53566.
