Gloria (Fabish) Wright, 84, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2014 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. Gloria was born in Chicago, IL on February 24, 1930 to Edward and Frances (Suchalski) Fabish and was a graduate of Carl Shurz High School. She moved to Monroe in 1997 after her retirement at Lightning Mixers in Elk Grove Village, IL, in order to be closer to her son and family. She loved the pastoral setting and community in Wisconsin. A lifelong Bears and Cubs fan, she also cheered for the Packers in her new hometown. Gloria loved to study the Bible while living at Pleasant View, and had many friends from St. Victor's Catholic Church and the Monroe Bible Church. Gloria will be remembered as an outgoing self-proclaimed "people person" who's sense of humor blessed those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Trish (Steve) Friedland of Scottsdale, AZ, and sons Ed (Deb) Simpson of Winslow, IL, Mike Williams of Gillette, WI, and Geoffrey (Nancy) of Rockford, IL. She has a sister, Delores Martiney of Highland Park, IL, and sister-in-law Adele Fabish of Belvidere, IL. She is also survived by grandchildren Kevin (Jade) Williams of Chicago, IL, Sarah (Matt) Fortman of Wauwatosa, WI, Nate Simpson of Chicago, IL, Ben Simpson of Winslow, Il and Elainna Simpson of Winslow, Il. Great-grandchildren are Virginia Fortman and Claire Williams. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Jim (Terri) Fergus, Buffalo Grove, WI, Sue (Tom) Tristano, St. Charles, IL Mary Rose (John) Cottingham, Champaign, IL, Cathy (Ed) Haering, Los Angeles, CA and Bob (Marty) Fabish, Schaumburg, IL. Special friends were Diane (Wayne) Kreft.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Frances, her husband Wm. Wright, her sister Alice Fergus, and brothers Ed Fabish of Belvidere IL, and Tom Fabish of Chicago, IL

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the church.

Father Andrew Skrobutt will officiate at the service.

Burial will be held at the Christian Hollow Cemetery near Winslow, IL.

A memorial has been established in her name.
