ORANGEVILLE - Glen W. Pinnow, 79, of Orangeville passed away on October 12, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Glen was born on August 7, 1932 in Orangeville, Illinois. He was the son of William and Katherine (Kundert) Pinnow and step-son of Mabel Pinnow. He graduated from Orangeville High School in 1950. After high school he started working for Micro Switch in Freeport for several years and then began farming in the stateline area. He also worked for Country Companies as an insurance sales agent. In his later years he started Glen Pinnow Construction Co. Glen served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 - 1955. On August 8, 1953 he married Betty Wahler at the Wiota Lutheran Church near Wiota, Wisconsin. His second marriage was to Barbara Fogel in 1973. Glen was a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church and the McConnell American Legion Post 1225. Glen enjoyed fishing, Chicago Bears, mushroom hunting in the spring and most of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are 3 daughters and 2 sons Stephanie (Thomas) Seubert of Minnetonka, Minn., Kelli (Joseph) Pinnow of Orangeville, IL, Steven L. Pinnow and Brenda Kohler of Orangeville, IL, Wendy Ellingson and Curt Blankenhagen of Monroe, WI, Jaime (Maia) Pinnow of Verona, WI., 1 sister Joan (William) Schmid of Monroe, WI, 1 brother Richard (Annie) Pinnow of Tenn. and numerous nieces and nephews. 12 grandchildren; Stephen Seubert, Amy Seubert and Eric Dawson fiancée, Christopher (Sommer)Auer, Heidi (Matthew) Reeter, Cory Auer and special friend Haley Wilson, Adam Pinnow, Elisabeth Pinnow, Ryan Ellingson, Rachel Ellingson, Joshua Ellingson, William Pinnow, Macyn Pinnow. 4 great-grandchildren Reese Reeter, Rhett Reeter, Benjamin Auer, and Charlotte Auer.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents William and Katherine Pinnow and his step mother Mabel Pinnow, 1 brother Gene Pinnow and grandson Scott Auer.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Orangeville United Methodist Church in Orangeville.

Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 9:00 to 11:00 am before the service.

Pastor Bruce James will officiate the service.

Burial will be held in the Orangeville Cemetery in Orangeville, IL.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory for the Veterans Organizations.
