Gerald William Gille, age 75, passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2012, surrounded by this family. Gerald was born on February 26, 1937, to Orville and Mary Gille. He attended Gratiot Elementary and High School. He married Jean L. Moore in 1960 and they had four daughters. He is survived by his wife Jean and four daughters, Vickie (Tim) Kneipp of Dallas, Tx; Cindy (Scott) Blankenship, of Houston, Tx, Gaila (Greg) Hilliard of Monroe, and Marsha (Doug) Hobson of Stoughton, and his sister Janet (Jimmy) McDonald of Darlington. He was also blessed by having 10 grandchildren, Leah, David, Annie, and Blake Kneipp; Jackson and Alec Blankenship; Alexis and Sydney Hilliard; and Hannah and Adam Hobson. Jerry, with his wife Jean, took over the family farm near Gratiot in 1960 and became a successful dairy farmer for over 30 years. Dad had a natural talent for sports and enjoyed teaching his girls, and even his grandchildren, how to play. He was a devoted father and always to loyal fan of the Blackhawk Girls Basketball teams, and attended all his daughters' games over a 14-year span. He was a devoted father his four daughters adored. Friendships were also very important to him. He was a loyal, devoted friend to many and enjoyed taking vacations, attending Packers games, and late night card games filled with laughs and making memories. Dad was a fighter. Plain and simple. He fought his battle with cancer with the kind of bravery that is beyond words; with the kind of determination that is beyond belief. He was a great man - a man we are proud to call father, husband, granddad, and friend. He was loved deeply, honored highly, and he will be sadly missed.

His family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for supporting him during his tough battle with cancer. Your cards, letters, calls, gift packages meant the world to them, more than you'll ever know.
