MONROE - Frederick M. Voegeli, age 84, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on August 29, 1923, the son of Melvin and Florence (Bischofberger) Voegeli. Frederick married Pauline Minnig on August 29, 1946 in Monticello. He was a self employed carpenter for many years. Fred belonged to the Monroe United Methodist Church and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, horseshoes, golfing, gardening and metal detecting.

He is survived by: three children, Sandi (Scott) Lenz of Arizona City, AZ, William Voegeli of Argyle and Vicky (Mark) Flannery of South Wayne; 7 grandchildren, Tammi (Mark) Rufer of Monroe, Steven (Sabrina) Ryan of Gardnerville, NV, Dustin Relph of Brodhead, Tara (Rob) Johnson of Arizona City, AZ, Erika (fiancee, Clint) Flannery of Cuba City, WI, Kelly (Josh) Flannery and Nick Flannery, both of Gratiot; and a brother, Richard (JoAnn) Voegeli of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, with Rev. David Busker officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established in Fred's name.
