Frederick (Fred) Ernest Studer

Frederick (Fred) Ernest Studer, age 81, of Monroe, WI, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 6, 1936 at the Deaconess Hospital in Monroe, Wisconsin the son of Rosalie (Klassy) and Ernest Studer. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1954, where he was elected to attend Badger Boys State session at the UW Madison. Fred was united in marriage to LettyJane Adams on March 2, 1957. Fred became a partner in Studer Super Service of Monroe in 1963 with his father and three brothers. He served our country in the Naval reserve honorably for nine years. Fred was director on the board of The First National Bank and served as a director and president of Wisconsin Power Equipment Retailers Association for many years.

Fred was an avid motorcyclist; outdoorsman and enjoyed traveling the United States with his family and friends. He served the area farmers his entire life and embodied the name of his family business "Studer Super Service." Fred was a loving husband, caring father, loyal brother, kind grandfather, generous friend and hard worker.

Survivors include his wife, LettyJane, three sons Ernest (Barbra), David, Greg (Jane) and two daughters Laurie (Dan) Crandall and Rose (Adam) Bauer, all of Monroe; ten grandchildren; Katie Studer, Andrea (Craig) Nolan, Meghan Studer, Garret (Jana)Crandall, Alyssa Studer, Karissa Studer, Vanessa Studer, Ethan Studer, Roman Bauer and Lilah Bauer; three great grandchildren Cleo, Karl and Lisl Nolan; two sisters Rosalie (Urban) Miller, Hedy (John) Anderegg; two brothers Gary (Judy) Studer and Louie (Phyllis) Studer; and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Nathan and sister-in-law Barb Studer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1724 14th Street, Monroe. Private funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30 with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. As an expression of sympathy, memorials that will be disbursed to various charities in Fred's name are suggested in lieu of flowers. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
