Frank Venturelli, 85, of Sun City West, AZ died peacefully with family at his side on December 12, 2014. Frank was born in St. Louis, MO, and graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL class of 1946. After serving in the Marine Corps, Frank studied at the University of Illinois, Marquette University, and the Milwaukee Institute of Technology. He worked as an industrial engineer with General Electric, American Motors, and Hotpoint before becoming plant manager for Advance Transformer in Platteville, WI and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Frank was a natural leader and a truly genuine, caring man who endeared himself to many with his outgoing, colorful personality. Frank retired to Arizona in 1996 and remained very active during retirement. His many interests and hobbies included softball, golf, bocce ball, and bible study. He was also an accomplished Toastmaster and thespian.

He was preceded in death by his son Mark and grandson Francisco and is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores (Petroske) Venturelli, his son Ron of Peoria, AZ, and daughters Donna of Janesville, WI, and Mary Jo of Phoenix, AZ as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by them and countless others.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, 1245 N Water Street, Platteville. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Bill Bussan will officiate. Chapel military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274. He will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Platteville.
