ORANGEVILLE - One person was taken to the hospital with an injured ankle after a fire early Sunday morning, Nov. 18, destroyed an apartment and damaged others.
The Stephenson County Sheriff's Department responded to the structure fire on Main Street about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
Numerous fire departments, including Orangeville, rural Freeport, the city of Freeport, McConnell, Cedarville, Dakota, Lena, Winslow and Rock City, responded.
The fire remains under investigation.
