New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police responded at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 19 to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 911 call. New Glarus Area EMS was requested at the scene.

• Police were dispatched at 7:56 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19 to check on the welfare of an individual. New Glarus Area EMS assisted.

• Police assisted New Glarus EMS at 6:12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 with a medical call at the 600 block of 1st Street.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday, Jan. 24:

• A deputy, along with the Darlington Fire Department, responded at 5:35 a.m. to Wardsville Road, Seymour Township for a house fire.

• Argyle Ambulance responded at 11:49 a.m. to East Broad Street, Argyle.

• Rural Medical Ambulance responded at 12:37 p.m. to East Lucy Street, Darlington.

• Rural Medical Ambulance and Wiota First Response responded at 2:13 p.m. to County D, Wiota Township.

• Rural Medical Ambulance responded at 6:02 p.m. to Galena Street, Darlington.

• A deputy, along with Belmont Fire Department, responded to U.S. 151 at 10:05 p.m., Belmont Township for a vehicle on fire.

• Belmont Fire Department and Belmont Ambulance responded to U.S. 151, Belmont Township to locate a subject attempting to walk to Dubuque, Iowa at 4:18 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. The subject was affected by hypothermia. The Belmont Police Department and a deputy also responded.

On Monday, Jan. 27:

• Shullsburg Ambulance was alerted to a call at 6:26 a.m. at a residence on North Mineral Street, Shullsburg.

• Shullsburg Fire Department was alerted at 6:54 a.m. to a residential fire on County U in Shullsburg, where the structure had rekindled from the previous evening's fire.
