NEW GLARUS - New Glarus firefighters responded to a house fire at about 11:15 p.m. Friday at 319 Fifth Ave. The fire began in a rear room and spread to an upstairs room and into the attic. The Monroe, Belleville and Monticello fire departments assisted at the scene.
The house received extensive damage.
